Nice place, great front desk and food & beverage staff. But the facility seems understaffed and managed. We enjoyed the indoor waterpark.

There is so much do here! I love that it is out of any city limits. You dont need to leave, they have everything you may need. Live music Friday and Saturday! 2 types of eateries. My son and I even got to watch a movie friday night! Totally worth it!

Racism at its finest! Staff sent the Mexican receptionist at the front desk to do all the dirty work. Very rude customer service horrible! Sun down town is what it felt like !! People of any color should not be out after the sun is down!! I would not send my dog to stay there 👎

Great place to stay when visiting the state park

Villas bathroom, kitchen really really needs updates. Looks like was updated 10 years ago. Didn’t want to take a shower at the villa. Out side mini golf needs updates, lanscaping

Room was very clean. Everything worked in the room. (E.g. fireplace and hot tub.) Only thing that was really disappointing was the day of checkout we went to the Jack’s restaurant located in the establishment. We were there around 8:15a. Only a family there before we got there. We were able to order our drinks. Shortly after receiving our drinks we placed our food order. My alarm rang while there which I had set up for 8:30a to get breakfast before checkout at 11a. Shortly after us another family walked in and a young couple. I noticed that the couple that came after us had received their food and drinks before us. It came to be 9:20a when the server came by and said I’m sorry for the delay we’re going to offer you 25% off your food order and if it’s not out shortly we’ll just not charge you for the food. I asked like hmm I’ve been waiting an hour already like is it going to be long because like I waited already or if not cancel it. So she said she didn’t know but I was ready to go so me and my boy friend left. Really upsetting because we were there the night before and everything was good and ok. Just hoped that it didn’t end my vacation on that sour note.

Loved property. Room comfortable. The only issue is the toilets. They are so low to the ground.

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The hotel’s lobby is beautiful. They have a buffet on site and a sandwich shop. The room is spacious and the furniture very rustic. The room is very dated and needs some remodeling especially the bathroom. The waterpark is very nice and convenient, however once again the bathroom/changing rooms need some fixing and the water park is extremely dated. Customer service was good. I had no idea they charged 100 hold per room and 69 dollars additional per room if you want early check in, which I didn’t know about until it was charged. We declined it because we were going hiking and didn’t return until the right time. So overall, I give this resort an 8 on the scale and yes we will return.

Horrible customer service, disgusting amenities…spider webs on walls in the villa we spent over $800 for for 2 nights, pillows were pancakes, manager at front desk was rude! Will not be going back !

Staff was frequently away from the front desk, waited several times for service. Flattest pillows I’ve ever experienced at a hotel & the lighting in the room was dismal at best, I could not see into my suitcase due to the poor lighting. Shower temp was luke warm with the hot water on all the way, bathroom door would not remain open unless propped. Room was cleanish but could have been better. Automatic doors at the entrance would be a plus, hard to manage luggage & open the doors. Food service at both the bar & restaurant were very slow. I expected better for the amount I paid.

Good location. Bed was comfortable room size good. Disappointed with broken ice machine, no coffee in the room or breakfast options until noon. Coffee offered until 8:00 when we woke after 8:00. Chairs in the room were hard to sit on. Dinner option was not appealing. Water Park was not inviting. Place run down. Not worth the price.

Staff needs bit more training. The place is bit outdated and is not well maintained, room furniture and appliance are in bad shape, no coffee machine in room, and no room service for each day. No carbage pick-up also.

The whole indoor resort was closed, including all restaurants. The property itself is very unmaintained. And the customer service is absolutely terrible. Will not stay again, nor will I recommend Grand Bear Lodge to anyone visiting the area.

Needs to pick up garbage and lots of maintenance needed in common areas. Also, our TV, along with my family's TV in their room didn't work. Just needs a lot attention and fixing things. Outside talking n property looks run down.

I was fully aware we were visiting in an off season and were there to hike. We knew the water park was closed however; the hotel was very limited, the eatery was not open, the bar was not open and for breakfast was mediocre coffee.
