Pros - Beautiful hotel, right on the border of Sweden and Finland. The hotel itself is like a museum, close to the northern most ikea in the world and a shopping mall, the restaurant in the hotel is very delicious as well. Cons - Breakfast is not too good, beds are not comfortable

Such an amazing feel to be back in history!! The decoration and vibe there was great to me being a visitor of a small town. And the staff are amazing too and dedicated to their job. Every single receptionist was suave and eager to help out. I checked in late and the guy was still around to help me go in, and they were also accommodating to me being around and use the facility even after checking out. The place is clean, spacious and nice sauna. It was snowy and did not have a chance to really explore town but it looked beautiful nonetheless. Open buffet for breakfast but really good. I can’t say anything bad about the place.

It was cold in my room. However, the hotel is beautiful. Classic style, wonderful chandeliers, ball room... I loved it!

Architecture, tradition

Beautiful hotel with lots of history. Our room was really small for two people. Personnel was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Bathroom had a sewer smell every now and then.

Furniture, carpet very old

Det var olidligt varmt på rummet så vi sov med fönstret öppet men trots det så blev sömnen helt förstörd. Och detta nu i helgen då tempen var normal och inte någon tropisk natt. Och eftersom det ej finns personal på plats sent på kvällen så fanns det inget att göra. Riktigt illa. Men att frukosten var en buffe men bacon, korv och köttbullar blev ett plus i kanten som vi ej förväntat oss. Annars finns det inte något negativt om hotellet som sådant. Ja, det är 90-tals design på rummen men det kan man leva med.

Haparanda is a quiet little town. People are very friendly. Hotel is a historic place. Restaurant and breakfast were good. Accomodations were basic but good.

The hotel is beautifully restored, warm and inviting. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. Don't miss having dinner at the hotel restaurant--the reindeer with lingonberries and house red wine was fabulous!

Fantastiskt hotell med smakfull inredning!

Staselig hotell sentralt i Haparanda. Fine rom, fin frokost og hyggelig personale. Fint utgangspunkt for turer til bl a Finland.

Rummet rätt ok, bra mottagande i receptionen, toaletten inte toppfräsch men ok. Sängen bra. Frukosten tyvärr underkänd. Tomma fat, dåligt urval och långsam påfyllning. Gurkskivora var 15 mm tjocka, antagligen huggna av yxa på huggkubbe. Besviken. Trodde på bättre för det priset.

Er ærverdig hotell som oser av gammel storhet. Utrolig serviceminded personale. God mat i restauranten, og en av de beste Irish coffee’s vi jar smakt.

Fint hotell, bra frokost, hyggelig personale

Väldigt små dubbel rum. Knappt så man kan få in väskan. Finns bättre alternativ i närhete.

Hotellet oppleves veldig bra, men frokosten var litt mangelfull. Kunne med små forbedringer ha gjort stor forskjell. Kommer kl. 8 til frokost og det var bare rester igjen.
