This is a very unique hotel in Ladispol. It is surrounded by elegant and beautiful grounds but it is very much in a stand alone area with nothing to do apart from relax in the hotel . The staff are exceptionally helpful . A special shout for Luca the waiter in the restaurant who went over and beyond to make our stay memorable. The food in the restaurant is delicious including breakfasts and the hotel pride themselves on local produce . The rooms are dark and it does feel a little like staying in a museum but a luxurious one ! The aircon is also questionable with little control and certainly not reaching the temperature stated . There are a lot of stone steps so if you are unsteady on your feet beware . The hotel stands by rules with check out time rigidly adhered to and drinking water limits by the pool but taking all this into consideration, this is a beautiful hotel in a magnificent setting . The pricing of food and drink reflects a captive audience and did feel expensive ( glass of wine 23€) but the staff , the hotel and its ambience is enough to draw you back .

We loved our stay there. We had the amazing Castello corner Suite with wonderful views and vast, comfortable space filled w age-appropriate antiques. The entire villa and grounds were extraordinary and worthy of Mr Getty's stature. My lady also enjoyed the Spa with a wonderful Cocoon massage from Celia. We also loved the food and being able to dine on the Terrace w the sea rolling in. All in all, a great experience.

Although a beautiful hotel and setting. Very expensive food and drink. Not much of a selection. Nothing to do. No traditional italian food. Quality of food was Eh. Not near any restaurants or tourist visits or shopping. Would not return

WOW! What a beautiful hotel and location. Everyone and everything about La Posta Vecchia was outstanding. Will definitely go back next time in Rome. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Rome and want an escape from the hustle and bustle of Rome. The location is amazing

Wonderful accommodations. A plus everything but…The restaurant should have more of an authentic cuisine found in lazio… like real fried zucchini flowers with ricotta not slices zucchini with sauce of ricotta and flowers…if the had simple dishes would of been better.. I didn’t mind spending 25euro for 4 small bocconcini… it was classic with half of a tomato.. fine..i would recommend other restaurants near property … not much variety as well for dinner… as for breakfast, was amazing.

Was awesome. Note to fellow travelers: if you go to the train station, pre-arrange your cab as there likely will be no transportation options for you upon arrival, consider taxi from Rome.

What a perfect location for a quiet visit near the hustle and bustle of Rome. We loved the art, decor and the history this property had and really enjoyed exploring the grounds.

The level of service and attention to guests at this hotel is amazing!!! We came for our honeymoon (7) years ago and returned for our 2nd honeymoon this year…….Early to mid June is very nice…..where else in the States can you truly stay in a restored, historic villa that’s on the Mediterranean next to a castle built in the 1,100’s…..? The food, photos, relaxation and amenities are 1 of 1……Lord willing we’ll be back for 4-5 nights next time…… Grazie a tutti la squadra De La Posta Vecchia!!!

La Posta Vecchia is one of those very special places that you rarely stumble upon during a lifetime of travel. It is now a very special hotel with a limited number of rooms and is associated with the Leading Hotels of the World brand. We stayed at this absolutely special place in late September when the weather was perfect. The setting right on the Tyrrhenian sea is extraordinary and has been a vacation destination since the time of the romans. La Posta Vecchia was originally built in the 17th century and updated by J. Paul Getty in the 60s when it served as his personal home. It unlike any place we have ever stayed, and the extraordinary staff, food and easy access to central Italy made it one of the most relaxing destinations ever. We did day trips through Italy but were always ready to return for a swim and such wonderful food that we never wanted to dine elsewhere. incredibly special place.

We enjoyed our stay very much in this lovely place with very helpful and attentive staff. We loved sunset on the terrace overlooking the sea and the breakfast in the dining room was very special with a very good selection of food and very attentive service from the staff. Thank you very much to the very helpful manager, who showed us the Roman remains and was very informative and helpful throughout our stay.
