It is a lovely, small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. I arrived after midnight due to flight delays, and I really appreciated that the receptionist was there waiting for me. My room was clean and exactly as described. I particularly loved the character and authenticity of the building.
There was only one issue I'd like to mention: a strong, stale smell in the room upon arrival. It did improve after I opened the window and ran the air conditioning, and by the third day, I hardly noticed it.
While my room didn't have a kitchen (which was clear when I booked), I made good use of the microwave, fridge, kettle, and cutlery in the shared kitchenette. I would also suggest adding more accessible power sockets. There are plenty in the room, but they are all quite low or hidden behind furniture, making it difficult to charge gadgets.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The location is excellent-right opposite the Parliament building and close to many shops and restaurants. Thank you to the team for taking such good care of me!
