The room was clean and functional, the staff were helpful, and the breakfast was good. The property is right on the beach, which is nice. Unfortunately that section of beach is the main thoroughfare to the late night bars at that end of the beach. We had the noise of the bars and patrons until about 5 in the morning. The beachfront rooms would not be ideal for light sleepers.

Nice staff, breakfast was amazing, lots of fruit and eggs available on request. WiFi was very slow, but overall good experience.

The property was fabulous! Lounge chairs and beach chairs to relax. The breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, buns, cheeses, deli meats, cereals and eggs to order was delicious. Coffee and cakes also served in the afternoon. Great value. We highly recommend Pousada Ancoradouro!

This is a nice place at an accessible location, good for quiet and relaxed stay, with some great eateries nearby. Staff were very nice and helpful, and provided excellent advice to explore the island!

Standing on our balcony looking out at the ocean was wonderful. Three nearby restaurants (Steak & Beach, Cafe do Mar and Sorretino) were excellent. It was only a short walk to beaches away from the main town (Julia, Bica) and not a long walk to a wonderful more secluded beach (Abraaozinho). The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good - including eggs by request. It was a bit of haul getting from the pier to this pousada, but good to get away from the central area. The only problem was weak internet, but I was glad to have a vacation from my email. Overall, this was great value for an excellent place.

We had a wonderful stay at Pousada Ancoradouro! The front desk staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. The sea room was fabulous, and we had a drink on it looking out at the sea. The garden too is a great spot to read a book or have a drink. They also provide beach chairs that you can take out with you. Cleaners clean the room every day. The breakfast had a wide choice of variety and fresh eggs made how you like. Coffee was avaiable at different points throughout the day to which was an unexpected bonus. Overall we loved our stay and didn't want to leave!

We had a wonderful stay. Renata greeted us upon check-in and answered all our questions throughout our trip. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Right on the beach, friendly staff. What’s not to like.

Absolutely amazing stay! Such a convenient location, only a 5min walk from the main town, and there were a couple of restaurant bars right next door. The property is right on the beach and they give you chairs and things if you want them. Staff were super friendly. They offered for us to store our bags and use the property if we needed to kill time before our ferry and spoke some English too. The only thing is it isn’t the best noise proofed, but that seems to be the case with all the other hotels too, so we can’t fault them for it. It wouldn’t stop us from staying again! Breakfast was good. My partner fell in love with the town itself! Would highly recommend.

I loved their breakfast. The one receptionist spoke English which was helpful since i didn’t know most Brazilian don’t speak English. The island was BEAUTIFUL! If weather was better, I would enjoy this beachfront lodge.

Staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating! Excellent variety of offerings at breakfast. The facilies were immaculate and in superb condition. The shower was powerful with excellent supply of hot water. The location, especially the view, was ecepriinal! Simply stunning. Loved everything! Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

Very clean and well maintained Pousada; staff was very friendly and always ready to help with advice (or an umbrella for the rain!) The Pousada is located a bit away from the busy centre which worked our perfect. Despite the bad weather it was an enjoyable stay

Great location right on quiet end of beach but with excellent bars and restaurants nearby. Friendly helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Room quite small and no seats on balcony. But good bathroom and shower. Garden well kept but could make better use of space.

We enjoyed staying here very much. This was our first stop on a 4-city trip to Brazil. Location is great, right on the beach and close to the best restaurants on the island. It's also far enough away from the mail pier so it stays nice and quiet, all you hear when you fall asleep and wake up the next morning is the ocean waves. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast spread is great too. We hiked to Lopes Mendes beach on the other side of the island and the trail starts just steps away from the hotel. If we come back to Ilha Grande, we will definitely stay here again!
