Not enough staff! It’s a reasonably priced hotel for a reason. It’s dated, although our room had been redecorated the shower was tiny and not great. The staff were run ragged which impacted the experience. Cooked breakfasts were ok. Continental offering was just juice, yoghurt, cereal & melon. Parking very limited & not managed well as you’ll see from photo - poor parking meant 2 fewer spaces

This is a nice hotel in a great location. The breakfast and breakfast service was excellent. Only negatives were the car park, which is very small and cramped; however, there is on street parking near by. Initial reaction was that the hotel is a bit run down, but on closer inspection, most important items were new. The shower had seen better days though.

Hotels a little tired but staff are friendly and its in a good location to the town center. Parking is tight and I think you will struggle in peak season so plan to pay for overnight parking. Bathroom really needed ripping out but some might think its charming.. Cooked breakfast is good, cereals could be improved on and the orange/apple juices didn't taste great (tasted like cheap carton) As one of the staff members suggested "its not fancy coffee" which in this day and age should easily be fixed with a machine for better options. Especially when they charge the rates they do being in Keswick. Overall a nice visit but room for improvement

Room was very hot, no fan or windows to give airflow, could do with a deep clean. Quite noisy.

The room was clean and large. There was an odd smell that bothered us, likely new paint or carpeting that had not been sufficiently aired out. There was no offer of assistance to lug our suitcases up two flights of stairs. We were not the only guest to struggle with this. Breakfast was good and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. Location was excellent for getting into the main part of town. Parking was not ideal - in a nearby lot. It would be nice if the hotel arranged specific parking for guests. We did not use the outdoor facilities due to weather, but courtyard tables appeared to be nice on a good day.

Bed was uncomfortable. Water pressure for the shower was weak. The room itself was great, and the free breakfast in the morning was delicious.

Reasonable price, great location for easy access to Keswick centre, the room and bathroom were a small but reasonable size as well as clean, comfy and well equipped. The shower was nice and powerful. The pub/restaurant itself was decent with nice staff and food. The only points to note are that parking is very limited and extremely tight which can be an issue in peak season. I had to park a few mins walk away albeit it was at least still free. Also I stayed during a heat wave and my room was a lot hotter than other places in the hotel. A fan is provided which helped. The hotel is also on the main road so there is vehicle noise but a good pair of foam earplugs did the trick for me.

Room was basic and clean, dated but typical for a B&B-type place in the UK. There is actually a lot of charm to these places with the "Fawlty Towers"-esque 10 staircases to get to the top floor, some of them downwards 😅 The room was boiling hot in the recent heatwave, as the portable fan wasn't left on, and the blinds were left wide open before check-in with the sun streaming in. It never cooled down fully and had to sleep under a wrung out towel to sleep. But those temps are rare in the Lakes. Maybe something for the hotel management to consider when it is very hot, closed blinds, fan on, and a little note apologising for the dinginess, but an explanation why. Breakfast was nice, lots of toast, unlimited cold buffet and attentive staff. Sausages could have been better quality for Cumbria. Location was perfect for transport, 8 minutes powerwalk to the main bus station, and a bus stop for the X services from Penrith right outside. A good corner shop a few minutes away for supplies. Would stay again for what I needed it for, one night in Keswick as a little home base.

The room was very clean, comfortable and very central. If anything the decor was a bit dated and the parking extremely poor.

This was a lovely hotel, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was spotlessly clean. We had a beautiful view over the top of the other houses and across to the hills (room 16). It was nice to have a bath, not just a shower when you have been out walking and need to relax. The breakfast was delicious. NB there is very limited parking at the hotel itself but there is free on street parking a couple of streets away.

Great facilities, well situated in Keswick. Parking might be a bit of an issue for some. Small on site car park. Overnight on street possible. Fabulous breakfast. Lovely staff. Would definitely stay again
