Expedia messed up our reservation in regards to beds but the hotel went above and beyond to make it right!

We had a large suite in the “new” wing, however it wasn’t very well appointed: like many properties in this part of the world the materials are not high quality. Though the bed was huge and very comfortable, we were woken up very early by the noise in the courtyard below and the flat roof above were staff or workers were: the insulation isn’t good, as the wooden windows have single glazing and they don’t close hermetically. We could also hear people talk in the room next to ours and there was noisy maintenance work with drilling taking place during the day, so we decided not to extend our stay and move somewhere else. Be aware there’s no lift, only stairs.

Hotel was beautiful and staff was just so nice.

This is a lovely, beautiful, well appointed hotel with attentive staff. We only had one night but wish it was more. Rarely have I enjoyed a hotel so much with such a nice ambiance. We enjoyed the location for the easy access to the costa verde and walking around Barranco but enjoyed the hotel just as much if not more with its nice garden restaurant, roof top bar and beautiful comfortable rooms.

Nice room, extremely friendly and helpful staff

The property, location, and staff were phenomenal. However, our "superior" room was a bit of a disappointment. Our room featured only a sliding door that did not 100% seal. The room directly off a seating area and the courtyard, which constantly had guests and staff talking immediately outside at all times of the day, including taking phone calls in the earlier morning. The location on the courtyard also meant there was no way to get natural light in the room while maintaining any privacy. We had to exist in complete darkness unless we wanted to be on display to the entire hotel. Many things about the hotel are great, but our room situation was a letdown and was really quite uncomfortable for us overall for the above reasons.

Carpeting was terrible. Stains on the rug. No thought at all given to style in the room. Felt like a cheap hotel room from the 70’s. No real coffee for breakfast, only instant coffee. Disappointed!

Friendly Staff

Really wonderful stay in a historic mansion in Barranca Lima Peru. Enjoyed every aspect. Four stars because it’s not luxury, but they are wonderful and I’d definitely stay again !!

Staff were extremely helpful and attended to any concerns! Loved the fruit and the breakfast buffet, the coffee machine, and the sparkling water on tap.

Very nice, comfy bed, breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful. Best place we stayed at on our trip to Peru.

The property itself has charm and location us good. Unfortunately,the rooms are old and smell musty,almost mold like. We tried to change our room as mold concerns but other room have the same odor. Staff claimed that room wasn’t open thats why the smell but as s fact, there were guests checking out from the sane room the same day. All in all, the hotel is authentic, staff is helpfull and nice but smell/mold concerns are serious and needs to be dealt with.
