Beautiful property. Great location!

The room was so tiny, no extra space and dirty, nothing in the room like fridge or something. It is worthless for this price

The hotel was very nicely presented, immaculately clean and very chic. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. The hotel definitely deserves more than the two stars it apparently currently holds. A self service "honesty bar" was a nice touch and demonstrated the quality of the place. Although it is not located in the centre of the old city it is possible to walk into town and there are plenty of local options for food including the carrera blai which is the primary place in Barcelona for "pincho" bars which are definitely worth trying. One negative, rooms on the front of the hotel do suffer from some street noise so if possible try to avoid one of these!

Needed to walk a bit to get to what we wanted to see. Loved the property. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

My partner and I arrived early at the hotel around 11am, ahead of the standard check-in time. This was due to British Airways’ flight schedule, which unfortunately left us with a bit of a wait. We spent about two hours in the lobby before the front desk kindly let us check in at 1pm—an hour earlier than expected—which we really appreciated, especially after a long and tiring journey. At check-in, we were informed that the building's water supply was temporarily shut off for maintenance. Due to a bit of a language barrier, I didn’t fully grasp the situation at the time. We headed to our room, tried to take a shower and quickly realised what they meant—no running water at all. We were told the water would be back on by 6pm. When that time came and went, we called down to check and were told there was still a delay. By then, the experience was definitely leaving a bit of a sour taste. We ended up going to sleep unshowered, hoping things would be sorted when we woke up. At 9pm, we checked again—good news, the water was back! Bad news, it was freezing cold. So, there we were, in a premier room, both braving icy showers. I tried to laugh through it, giving myself pep talks mid-shower while my partner giggled at my reactions—definitely not ideal, but we managed to find some humour in it. Noemi Benito the manager on site was helpful. I had an issue with the air conditioning and she provided us with a fan. Also gifted us chocolates as a sorry for the inconveniences.

The noise insulation is very bad making it hard to sleep at night if the neighbouring rooms are even moderately noisy. Otherwise the hotel is clean.

Good hotel, the only inconvenience I had was a problem with Wi Fi for a couple of days.

Very nice hotel for a great price ( it’s off season). I would expect the service to be better( no welcome for first time stay). No information shared(WiFi) breakfast etc etc. these things are important to me.

Really disappointing stay at La Franca Barcelona. We were on a 4 day trip to finalise our wedding details for later in the year. We picked La Franca because of it's location, proximity to the city as well as major roads for travelling and the fact we could park and charge the electric car we had. Firstly the electric car charging point at La Franca is out of use, there was nothing to make us aware before hand. This spoiled one of our nights where we had to find an expensive charging point, register for apps and wait whilst the car recharged. This was an additional cost. Another day we had a make up artist/hairdresser coming to do my wedding hair and makeup trial. Again we chose La Franca because the rooms were large with good space for getting ready with mirrors etc. The reception refused the artist entry to the car park and then the building. They told her she wasn't allowed to visit guests and would have to leave. Only after several discussions with a supervisor was the artist allowed to do my hair and make up. The staff were incredibly rude and she has never experienced such a refusal at any other hotel in the city, ever. Not letting her use the near-empty car park was also ridiculous. On the final night the entire hotel was woken up at 0230 in the morning by one room moving furniture, having a shouting argument and blasting music. This could be heard in reception but staff did nothing until multiple guests complained / took it in to their own hands. Poor experience.

The room was ok but the walls were made out of paper - I could hear conversations in the neighboring rooms clearly (I mean, really ...). And what else was going on - very hard to sleep, no more than 5 hours per night because somebody was always noisy in the adjacent rooms.

Stayed for 3 nights at La Franca, Good Points - *Free Parking (Scarce in Barcelona) *Staff Excellent, All attentive and polite *The Room, Large and clean, esp with a large bed that was not 2 beds pushed together :-) *Breakfast. Excellent even hot food. and food available for vegans etc Bad Points - (minor though) *No fridge in the room :-( *No coffee making Facilities in the Room. although coffee is available 24/7 in the Reception *The window in the Room, Overlooked other apartments. no privacy. i.e. net curtains or even frosted glass. I had to keep curtains closed whilst getting dressed etc

I lovely unusual hotel. Decor was very catching. Staff excellent.
