Wonderful historic property. We had a great few days here. Well equipped with everything you need. Lovely walks from the front door and very peaceful. Parking a plus and Nick is a very good host.

Very quirky yet totally practical. I had the cellar apartment which had everything required including superfast wifi. Definitely would stay again.

The cellar may not be for everyone but I loved it. Spacious, quiet, well equipped with additional kitchen extras, comfortable, good wifi, own parking space and a friendly and knowledgeable host Nick. It was cool when I arrived but soon warmed up. The area is good for hiking and the Clifton Suspension Bridge is just a 30 mins walk. Also has a good pub nearby along with a bus stop to get into Bristol.

Sadly following a great check in from the host I found that the room smelt musty and damp. I couldn’t get warm despite three heaters on. In the morning my fresh clothes smelt musky and I’ve had to wash everything on my return home. Not ideal for a winter stay, maybe it’s ok in the summer.

Great little hideaway. Somewhere very quirky to stay. Even though a cellar it was warm and cosy. Nick was very helpful and accommodating.

Lovely place, if your looking for something different then a stay here is just for you. Everything there what you wanted, except for a baking tray. Might not seem a problem, but when you cook because ,because of been gluten intolerance its a need. But thats all, a lovely night stay. Thank you Nick.

It’s not often you get to stay in a building which dates to 1400. Lovely bolt hole for a weekend. Walkable to Clifton downs. Lovely host. Recommend.

I stayed here multiple times and each time has been fantastic. The cellar apartment has everything you need for a comfortable and cosy stay including cooking and washing facilities. Nick, the host, was fantastic and very welcoming. It's a beautiful location and I'd recommend it to anyone staying in the area!

Really liked the host he's a great chap. Location was good for what I wanted but needed some improvements for me to mark it higher. Orangery was stellar and great for reading/typing up notes.

What a unique experience! A converted cellar that's about 650 years old is bound to be different, and the gracious hosts have worked wonders. Our stay was short but we had a grand time. Just a small caveat, the steep stone steps may be tricky for older guests with heavy bags. Fortunately, the Host is very helpful.

Really interesting place! The converted cellar of a Victorian priory. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay was provided. There was even dress coffee & milk! Thanks Nick

Really unique and wonderful place to stay. I was sad to only be staying one night. The cellar was naturally very cool - perfect for hot summer days. There was additional heating available if needed. The hosts were great and provided lots of information.

I think it would be helpful to have rugs down in both the bedroom & hallway to bathroom as there are rough uneven stone flags which are uncomfortable on bare feet. There is obviously a problem with humidity in the property which they are trying to tackle but it left the bedding feeling damp.
