Beautifully decorated hotel, friendly staff, quick check in. Comfy bed, well equipped bathroom with large spacious rainfall shower and large bath. Buffet breakfast with a range of hot and continental options.

Amazing

I was disappointed that the hotel room wasn’t cleaned during my stay, you have to tell them if you want it cleaning….. really? I expect a lot more for £120 a night £12-parking and £14 for a buffet breakfast!

Great hotel

Consistently good. Lovely big airy rooms with great amenities. Hotel is in a good location and the Chop House bar restaurant is good too. A bit pricey but overall rather good with loads of screens in the bar if you like sport.

It was just a bed for the night and breakfast really. Stayed here before so knew what to expect.

On first blush, the hotel is nice and conveniently located. I did not like how my room smelled (it's an historic building so age likely had something to do with it) but the bed was very comfortable and warm. The staff really make the place. Everyone was genuinely nice - from the front desk to housekeeping.

Room could have been cleaner, especially the floor- carpet needed a proper vacuum. Check in was not good. Kept waiting whilst staff huddled and kept us waiting.

We stayed in a Deluxe Suite, 1 Bedroom. Spacious, comfortable room with separate living room. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom could have been cleaner - there was toothpaste on the wall etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We like the hotel bar, great for watching sport and the cocktails are lovely. Breakfast wasn’t as good as previous stays, the coffee wasn't good. Fried eggs were dried out, they'd been sitting too long. Sausages weren't good.

Second visit to The Sandman. Like it for it's closeness to everything. Staff are very friendly

The hotel is really nice place and lovely rooms. Only issue I had was the parking costs £12 per night in car park or overflow car park over road. This isn’t told to you prior to booking and it should be as then this gives you option to change hotel. If you pay to park There is a chance there’s no space so you pay to not park unless say you won’t get money back not really good. Overall hotel beautiful and clean shame about parking.

Smart and efficient. Room windows open (vital). Shower water pressure good but water not hot enough. Breakfast coffee rather grim!

When ever we go to the theatre we stay here is is close and comfortable always nice place to stay
