The hotel itself is fine, but the low rating is due the staff, who were rude and arrogant. If you choose to stay here, I strongly recommend booking directly with the hotel. As Expedia customers, we were made to feel unwelcome. The staff repeatedly told us that we were not their customers and that they don't business with us, insisting that any issue should be taken up with Expedia. They event went as far as saying that if they wanted to, they could kick us out of the hotel, and that they had nothing to discuss with us. again, emphasizing that we were Expedia's clients, not theirs. Expedia, on other hand, resolved our issue immediately and provided excellent service. Expedia should reconsider who they partner with, as this hotel completely washes its hands of any responsibility when it comes to customer service.

I contacted the hotel regarding my wish to cancel due to health issues, and I never got a response. The lack of consideration for the client is completely unprofessional.

Kitchen is a nice plus, but could hear the people upstairs constantly walking around late at night. and making a lot of noise. I informed the front desk, who said they’d call the room that there’s been a noise complaint. Honestly, probably won’t stay again for that reason.

Very convenient to visit Eccles theater

The hotel has a great location for any event at the convention center. Bed was a little hard but not bad. I hate the ultra low flow shower head. Between that and the open shower it made showering uncomfortable.

I was unlucky that there was a conference on across the street so there were many guests with young uncontrolled children. This meant periods of noise both on my floor and during breakfast. The hotel itself is very nice. The 2 staff I met were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend the hote.

Just a quick stay, but the facilities were clean. We didn't use any of the room appliances, but the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot.

Great location. Walkable distance from City Creek Center, Temple Square and Salt Palace Convention Center. Also located next to a super dank souvenir store. Complimentary breakfast is a plus too.

We love staying at the TownePlace! It is very convenient for access to the convention center and many great places to eat. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very comfortable!
