Very small kitchen n 2 rooms to share a bathroom..but we had 3 rooms sharing that day

Great friendly hotel with good food in a great location

Very comfortable stay, good food and lovely hosts. An enjoyable stay for us all.

The b&b is on a main road (A9) which is the road most traffic including large trucks use to go north/south of Scotland. The rooms are just above the bar so there is music on until about 10:30pm. The room itself was very nice, clean and spacious for the price we paid. Tea and coffee making facilities provided. There was also toiletries to use in the shared bathroom as well. Staff we spoke to were really friendly and asked if we needed anything for the room or would like our room cleaned. It’s in a good central location in the centre of Helmsdale, with a few options for eateries/groceries and riverside walks. A perfect stop if you’re doing NC500!

Totally self contained with lovely comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen,lovely bathroom,very clean, complimentary breakfast … the place was faultless! Thank you

Food was excellent

I couldn’t recommend this property enough. What a lovely place and lovely people. We were running late and the lady stayed up for us. We also experienced a punctured tyre on the way up and they let us stay in the property until it was sorted. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It was clean, warm and comfortable. It’s an absolute must to stop off and stay here.

The Inn owners and staff were extremely friendly. Our beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. Highly recommend.

Great facilities, very friendly owners

Warm welcome and comfortable room, with clean, pleasant shared bathroom and access to a kitchen where I microwaved my porridge for breakfast. The meals in the restaurant are particularly recommended (have had several times without staying in last few years), and there's a real ale beer, always a bonus!

Great pizza and friendly staff. Loved being able to do laundry. No hot water though.

Such wonder owners. Gerry and Alison were so welcoming. The property is lovely, there is a beautiful shared bathroom and kitchen to go with the lovely room. Comfortable, warm, perfect for what you need.

Arrived gone 4pm could not get in had to ring and was greeted by oh sorry just got up?? Check in was outside in the cold then finally shown up to a small room with single beds Very noisy but clean Nasty metal stairs to climb to get to the room

Friendly staff and owner with good local information provided in room. Free parking across the road. Very friendly locals and probably the best value fish and chips in Scotland.

Room was ok. Toilet was clean enough. Unfortunately the people occupying the room next door decided to cook the most strong smelling thing i have ever smelt in my life. Completely stank the entire top floor. They also seemed to have an issue closing their door so it was quite noisy.
