This is a cute and charming place if you like that old fashioned vibe. It had too many decorations for my taste though. The kitchen is very dated and the breakfast was self serve and very basic. Our room was very dusty, but it must be difficult to dust around the many items on display. There are a lot of labels and signs for the rules and regulations which took away from some of the charm.

Perfect location, house was spotless. The owner was so knowledgeable and helpful. 10/10.

This is the most unique place I have stayed. What a beautiful old house, full of history. Bill was a welcoming host, there wad everything needed for a continental breakfast and tea and coffee at any time. The location in downtown St. John's was perfect for hiking to Signal Hill and around the Batteries. There are many close by places to eat. The bed was very comfortable.

The entire house is fascinating, so many antiques and collectibles all over. We were treated very well during our 4 day stay. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and significant historical sites.

Such a beautiful place and within walking distance to everything you need. Bill was a very kind and helpful host. What a treasure chest of antiques and collectibles. A person could spend hours looking through this charming home. I would highly recommend Bill’s place for your trip to St. John’s.

Excellent central location accessible to all sites in St John’s Very clean property Expedia falsely advertised a 24 hour shuttle which was one of the reasons I booked here and was never endorsed or organized by owner. I recommend use of liquid soap not bar soap in shower re public health recommendations Sharing bathroom amongst all rooms may create difficulties if people have early starts but second shower available in basement. Much better price than large hotels

Fascinating restored b&b! Every room had a history and the gramophones were amazing! If you want to step into the past this is for you! Super conveniently located! Steps from downtown and great restaurants!

Parking was on street, and a parking permit was provided. The house was spotless, and absolutely stuffed with antiques and memorabilia! I could have spent all day marveling at the decor

We adored the manor. It’s quirky but welcoming. Bill makes sure you have everything you need and is an excellent guide for exploring the area. The aesthetic is historic and unique. A perfect location and we would 100% stay again.

Gower Manor is well located on a quiet street in the heart of downtown St John's. The premises are very clean and perfectly curated with an array of antiques.

Very friendly owner, house was always clean and comfortable. Food options were great! Issue we ran into was St John’s was in a heat wave and there was no air conditioning.Not usually an issue for this area but made for a couple sleepless nights.

This is a must stay in St. John’s! It was such an interesting place and felt very homey. The owner, Bill, is very approachable and kind. The building has a very interesting history. It was so cool to stay in this Victorian styled home! It is walking distance to downtown, the rooms, and Signal Hill! Great location. Would 100% recommend this to people seeking to stay in a place with historic significance and homey feel!
