This place is AWASOME. A taste of France, with safe and friendly environment. Located 30-40 mins from Paris, giving you relax and amazing time for the family meanwhile you know other aspect of the French culture. The property is well conserved. And the customer service is on top for all the clients.

Excellent property with clean rooms. Owner was also really welcoming and attentive. They suggested places to visit as well in the area which we appreciated. Hotel’s location is in countryside with close driving distance to Paris.

This is an exceptionally charming abode. Restoration has been done with unprecedented sensitivity. It all oozes quality and... the bedrooms are... LARGE not bloody cut in half as the awful Balzac in Paris has done. Highly recommended; moreover, the value for money is second to none! Be minded though that this is legally a Guest House (a Maison d'Hotes…) without many of the often unnecessary frills offered by hotels to justify high prices. However, this place just does not feel second best but 5 Star for seasoned traveller. Maybe not for the Nouveaux Riches :-)

The staff were amazing and definitely made us feel welcome during our visit. The grounds are amazing and very peaceful with amazing views. There are also very friendly horses on the premise. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this property. You will have to drive a little further to reach this property but, if you have the time and are not in a rush, it is a really nice property and you will have a very nice and relaxing stay.

The property is beautiful, and the location couldn't be better -- only about 20 minutes from Giverny, where Monet's home is located. The service and quality of the room was really excellent. We would have two things that render it not absolutely perfect: 1. The Wi-Fi signal to our room was very weak and essentially unusable. 2. There is no air conditioning, although you can't expect that in a building with not modern construction.

Idyllic location, beautiful buildings and views. The owners live and run the Chateau in a very friendly, hospitable and professional manner.

I had been driving for almost seven hours before I arrived, so I was a little exhausted. Luckily, the check in was perfect. A woman came to meet us as we drove up the immaculate drive (through spectacular gates). My French is terrible so she put me in touch with the owner via her phone. He then talked me through the gate code, where to go for an excellent dinner (Moroccan), and where to have breakfast in the morning (in the Chapel room next to the Chateau). The room was pleasant and clean and everything you could hope for. TV is small, but we didn't watch anything. Shower was fantastic--great pressure and very warm. Breakfast was perfect. It is hard to use the words romantic and practical in the same sentence but that is what this place is. It is a functional destination that is clean, cosy, romantic, and a real treat to have found.

Lovely Bed&Breakfast in a small village without any facilities just one and a half hours away from Paris. The rooms are lovely decorated and quite spacious. The ensuite bathroom is a bit old fashioned, but clean. The salon on the first floor offers coffee and tea making facilities which we found quite practical. Breakfast was tasty, too. All in all, we can recommend staying at Chateau de Maudefort if you are up for some quiet days in the countryside. The offer of restaurants or bars is rather limited in this area, but the beautiful landscape makes up for that.

Our visit to this Château was an absolute delight! My mum and I felt so welcome, and we were charmed by the beauty, history, and calm of this place. We truly recommend it to anyone who wishes to discover a hidden gem!

Não é um hotel. É um lugar que oferece quartos e café da manhã. Não tem nem frigobar nem restaurante nem bar que ofereça ao menos uma garrafa de água. O café da manhã foi razoável. Fomos atendidos pelo proprietário e fomos os únicos hospedes neste dia.

O castelo é muito bonito mas é bastante isolado e não tem nem serviços de quarto, restaurante nem Mesmo um café ou bar

We didnt get the room expected or on pictures. Upon our arrival they said the castle was full and we would get a chalet. We got chocked and didn’t know what to do but accept us getting a lower standard room. All was quite strange and we got a cabin at the very end of the garden. In the morning I told the owner we weren’t happy and he said he would reimburse us. To be nice I tried to be polite and then in the end he never reimbursed us. I have pictures to share of our room and they are not in hotels.com. I want my money back minus breakfast. The owner could have easily canceled us before arriving when I called him to let him know check in time. Very strange, I don’t think this is alright at all. If the rooms were full he should have cancelled and not accepted our booking. We could have found something else when the rooms in the pictures wasn’t available. I can share pictures with hotels.com reclamation service, but not public. I want my money back. Thank you for getting back.
