We had a lovely stay in the Beacon View accommodation. It has a back deck with a superb view so we were disappointed it rained for the whole time lol. Perfect spot for exploring the South Downs National Park, or hopping to Lewes, or like us a day trip to Drusillas Zoo....

Wonderful stay just 15 mins away drive from the cliffs, Val was so attentive and also was really kind to give us an upgrade spontaneously. This is a must if you travel around these areas and want to find a relaxing time.

We liked this Inn the first time we stayed there in May that we decided to book again. Stayed in a different room but was equally happy with the space as the first time. Would highly recommend. Dave and Val are great hosts.

Lovely setting and views. Great hospitality. Even though there was no running water because of a burst pipe in the area, they were helpful and kind. Would 100% stay there again.

Comfortable stay with fantastic service from David and Val who went above and beyond help us out when we had an issue with our car key. Super location within easy reach of Lewes, Brighton and only five minutes from Charleston House.

The Hikers Rest was a small unit within a nice garden area. It had everything we needed for an overnight stay and was very clean.

The bed was a king size comfortable bed with nice linen. Clean fluffy towels and plenty of room in the bathroom. The shower was good and did not have any mould. We stayed in one of the pubs old out buildings that has been converted into accommodation. No frills, clean and private. The only thing to consider is that the headboard backs onto the road. That being said only 3 vehicles passed during our stay. The owner was nice and chatty. The blinds in the bedroom did let the morning sun in they did not black out the room. I like a little sun in the morning so it did not bother me. Great back gardening you are thinking of taking your dog. Great view of the downs and peaceful. Great stay and amazing situation for walking. Short drive to a local brewery (Long Man), Zoo and children's adventure park (Drusilla's).

Delightful location & view. Very tranquil pleasant & friendly hosts. We stayed in a cabin which we found too small. Would return but in a larger unit

Lovely little lodge, nice & clean, had everything we needed for a one night stay. Great view from the the lodge overlooking the countryside & very peaceful. The instructions were easy to follow & the grounds of the lodge & main house were beautiful. Walking distance to a nice pub for food. We didn't meet the owners as it's a self check in & out.

The property is ideal for walkers on the South Downs Way and it’s only a 700 metre walk to the closest pub (via a safe bicycle path) for dinner.
