Those are not villas but just a room in a big house. Still very clean and the attention from the host is excellent

The property was nice. The only negatives were the construction next door mean you couldn't really stay at the property for long and the pool needed more chlorine as it was always cloudy

Our stay at Picalu Villas was alright. The location was convenient, with a short walk to the bus station, a large grocery store, and the beach. The pool appeared clean, though we didn't use it and the room had nearly all the amenities needed for a long stay, though it lacked beach towels and some salt and pepper. However, a significant drawback was the construction noise from the house next door. The noise began promptly at 8 AM each day, with drilling and jackhammering that was quite disruptive. On the day of our checkout, I informed the host via WhatsApp about the construction and mentioned that it would have been helpful to know about this before our arrival so we could have made alternative arrangements or come prepared with earplugs as I didn’t see any reviews talking about the construction next door when we booked. The host’s response was dismissive, stating it was not their issue. I replied saying that I know there is not anything they can do I just wished they informed us before we got there, which he replied a thumbs-up emoji. This lack of professionalism and concern was disappointing and influenced our decision not to return. If you don’t like construction just outside your window and a host that responds with emojis you might want to consider other accommodations.

Very weak air conditioning.

Une grande chambre avec cuisinette très pratique pour ceux qui préfèrent manger à la maison. Pas de hotte donc prévoir ouvrir les fenêtres pour faire circuler les odeurs de cuisson. Climatisation seulement dans les chambres. L’eau chaude prend un certain temps à s’écouler et la pression est peu importante. Sinon, c’est un endroit modeste, sympathique, très propre et très tranquille pour ceux qui aiment se reposer loin des foules des grands hôtels tout compris. Le site dont l’accès est restreint par une guérite de sécurité est sécuritaire même le soir. On trouve au centre-ville tout ce dont on a besoin et plus. Marina, services et loisirs sont disponibles. La plage est dans une petite baie sans vague et l’eau y est cristalline et du plus beau vert aqua. Un grand bonheur pour moi qui voyageait seule. Je vous le recommande vivement.
