Smooth self check-in and room above and beyond expectations. Great location close to Train Station made for an easy trip to catch an early train.

I booked an apartment during the recent heatwave not realising it was an attic room so was very hot. The staff were very good and changed my apartment to a much better cooler one so all good.

We were upgraded to the‘Mayfair’ suite. Beautiful apartment. Located in a nice area and very close to the city centre. Car paring is a few minutes walk from the property and is a reasonable price. Bed was so comfortable, bedding was fresh and clean. Definitely recommend a stay.

Lovely location, and rooms never disappoint. Comfortable, quiet and well-supplied. The restaurant downstairs is fabulous and well worth a visit.

Good solid value 10 minutes walk from the raikway station and central shopping. Great kitchenette. As ever with "rooms" the absence of onsite staff is fine unless things go wrong.

Winckley stays was disappointing, given its 5* status, and its wonderful restaurant on the ground floor, Aven, which was outstanding. 1. not that easy to find in the evening drizzle (small sign next to door only); 2. the room (Den) upstairs was close to the restaurant toilet, which meant that every time someone used that, the door to the room rattled; 3. the room was very hot, with no air con; 4. overlooked on all sides 5. limited toiletries - no conditioner or body lotion. 6. temp control knob on shower was broken. So, my high expectations were not met, which is a shame, as the area is lovely and close to the station; the staff are all great; and to repeat, the restaurant is wonderful. Certainly, want to eat there again, but dont think I will stay

Really good choice for a stay in Preston. Quiet area between the park and city centre. Room was spacious and had pretty much everything you need for your stay. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Room exceeded expectations and was kept spotless throughout. Location also better than expected.

Beautiful room, we were in the Secret Garden apartment which was a very kind free upgrade from the Bond room we booked. Beautiful copper bath in the main room, nice and romantic. Rally big bathroom and shower with plenty room for 2 people. We will definitely be staying with them in the future and we may also try the lovely Aven restaurant they have on the ground floor. Lovely staff and apartments kitchen pretty well equipped, only thing missing is a small oven or airfryer, one of those would complete the rooms amazingly.

Room was nice. Only complaint was that the windows need some modesty frosting in the lower panes.

2nd visit to winckley stays, 1st time in the Rose. Great place, quiet and clean, kitchenette a plus and ideally located for preston centre and local bars A++

room was very nice but not well enough equipped for self catering - No toaster No table Huge bed which meant no space in the room (comfy bed though!) Towel rail in bathroom didn’t work No window to see out of - frosted glass
