The staff was very helpful and attentive. The hotel is gorgeous. Our room was very quiet. The hotel is right in the center of regua, so it's very convenient. The breakfast was excellent as well.

Friendly, efficient

Our room was small but very functional. The historic features and careful restoration are beautiful and create such a unique experience. The only drawback was the noise level from guests who took phone calls in the common areas and small children and/or infants crying in rooms.

We loved this hotel! It was so nicely decorated and the building had so much charm. The rooms were large with very high ceilings. The breakfast was very good and the staff were all friendly.

Delightful renovated small hotel

This charming hotel punches way above its two-star rating, Lovely helpful and friendly staff, amazing breakfast, comfortable, scrupulously clean and thoughtfully-designed rooms offset the fact that the hotel backs onto the railway -- which is the only reason I can think of that the hotel hasn't earned another star. But in truth, there aren't that many trains (evenings are tranquil). An walk from the train station, the hotel is close to a number of good restaurants.

Lovely hotel and excellent breakfast with fresh local, seasonal produce. The only downside is the proximity to the rail line. Our room had a balcony which looked down onto the line directly. This would be great for those interested in watching trains, just not so good at 5:30am and 11pm (first and last trains) when you're trying to sleep. Staff also excellent - so helpful when we were organising onward travel.

They were very friendly and helpful at check-in, and the room was very clean come, comfortable, and well decorated.

The room was small with no place to put away clothes hanging or shelving. I lived out of my suitcase. The shower was tiny and even though I am a small person I was bumping into the sides of the shower. For a cold breakfast it was good. No hot items. On the positive side the staff were friendly and helpful. No hotel parking lot but easy to park on the street as it was off season. Metered parking was inexpensive and hotel staff were happy to exchange our bills for coins to use in the meter. Location of hotel very good to restaurants and wineries in the valley. Very clean renovated hotel but few amenities.

Fantastic stay it’s a beautiful hotel and in an amazing location. Breakfast was out of this world and I would highly recommend this friendly hotel where staff go the extra mile to make guests feel special

Very nice property great breakfast don’t be fooled by the two star rating this place is 4 star it is nicer than a 4 star property we stayed at in Porto.

A nicely restored older building with lots of history. Enjoyed our stay and the helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Parking can be a challenge, but lots of local restaurants and shops.
