Hotel cleanliness from lobby to the room I was allocated was tip-top! Every staff I noticed, from bellboy, reception, waiters, cleaners, and housekeeping whom I met is very warm (smiles politely) and very obliging. Superb location, only 10 minutes walk to Parkson, Bt. Bintang. Without doubt, this will be my next stay in KL in September (without breakfast)! Thank you everyone!! Aside: The breakfast is a disappointment for me though, except the western spread. Asian food, especially the Nasi Lemak (come on man!) really needs some improvement. The sambal is tasteless and not spicy. It should be one of the best delicacies. The plain porridge area, the fried kacang tanah (peanut) is not fresh.

Overall, the hotel and room are as expected—a bit old, but still good for the price. The only downside is the breakfast, which was bland with not much variety (a bit boring). Regardless, the room, staff, and the hotel itself are nice! 4/5

The hotel is beyond my expectation. It is the first hotel I have been that has a filter water tap, a large fridge, and a cooker. It is also walking distance to the Pavilion and Bukit Bintang. The breakfast is excellent with lots of variety dishes. Will definitely come again. And the cost per night with breakfast is very reasonable.

This hotel must have been magnificent in the past and deserved its 5 stars, but today it falls far short of 5-star standards. The rooms and the hotel, in general, are in dire need of renovation. Breakfast, on the other hand, is quite decent, but avoid dinner—it's disastrous. Finally, the payment made through app included taxes and fees, and we were charged a tourist tax upon arrival.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious and clean. Buffet breakfast had an exceptional spread. Great location, 5-minute walk to Pavilion, without all the noise and chaos.

Very pleasing stay at a hotel offering excellent Malaysian hospitality

Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur is a good mid-range luxury hotel with a great location near Bukit Bintang and major shopping areas, and it’s especially known for its spacious rooms and classic Malaysian palace-style design. Many guests appreciate the friendly staff and decent breakfast variety, making it comfortable for families and tourists. However, the hotel feels a bit dated compared to newer hotels in Kuala Lumpur—some furniture, bathrooms, and facilities could use renovation, and it doesn’t feel like a modern 5-star experience. Overall, it’s good value for the price and location, but if you expect a brand-new luxury hotel, you might find it slightly old-fashioned.

But the aircond is not cold. Other than that, all good. Staff very helpful.

Excellent value for money. Admittedly, this is an older property, but I really like the retro huge lobby, leather armchairs, chandelier, and indoor fish pool near the restaurant. The breakfast spread had a wide variety.

I had a great bargain for my booking through traveloka in this amazing hotel. Everything was amazing except for a few matters, especially about the cockroach i saw at the bathroom (sink) and saw it again crawling on the bed

Noises from upper floor from midnight to morning, like people moving the furniture, somehow ruin my sleep
