Wonderful experience except that staff did not respect my privacy. They open the door without asking. Everything else amazing.

Every single member of the staff I met went out of their way to make me feel welcome and special. You usually only get this kind of service in exclusive hotels like Four Seasons/Burj Al Arab/W etc

The staff was very professional and the wait staff especially friendly. The shower was amazing. We enjoyed the comfortable bed and bedding. Unfortunately the €13 coupon was only redeemable one time and only for dinner and the bar which was not made clear in the listing on Hotels.com.

The hotel was well located for the town and the restaurant and food excellent. The main reason for marking the hotel down is the music coming from the bar below our room until 2am on the Thursday and particulary loud on Friday night resulting in getting very little sleep. I am not against people having fun but feel this shouldn't go on past midnight. The other suggestion I would make is some appropriate hanging space.. the rail available was small and above the coffee making equipment..

We arrived in the evening, and the receptionist was very helpful — he even managed to solve the parking issue, as our BMW X7 didn’t fit into the regular garage. They brought our luggage into the hotel for us, and we received our room keys. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is in terrible condition. The carpets were filthy, smelly, and worn out, and the rooms looked completely run-down. I’ve attached photos. We didn’t initially say anything, but the receptionist asked us how we liked the room. When we showed him the photos, he upgraded us to the most expensive suite. While it was slightly better, it still felt unfinished. The walls were unpainted in places, the bathroom had exposed 100-year-old wooden flooring behind it, and the TV was oddly placed in the middle of the room. At its current state, this hotel is on the level of a low-grade motel. It desperately needs renovation — it’s outrageous that it’s allowed to operate in this condition. I can’t believe no authorities are inspecting places like this. Even in the restaurant area, chunks of plaster had fallen from the walls.

Have stayed before. Hotel is quirky. Close to a great restaurant and walking distance to old town and station.

I would describe the Grand Hotel Wiesler as being shabby chic. Its design is quirky. I would have liked to have more than one wooden chair in the room. I got food poisoning while in Graz and the staff was very kind to me while I was sick.

Beautiful large room, made us feel very special for our anniversary. Bath in bay window was a highlight overlooking the river and landmark views.

Our room had the shower right next to the bed so if you share with a friend you will get pretty intimate pretty fast A big problem for us was the noise, very thin walls, you could hear everyone around you every time they turned the water on or took a shower. Also, there is a club or a restaurant nearby that has loud music late into the night, I think it stops after 2 or 3 am. Loud enough to keep you up if you are a light sleeper Oh, and one more thing, make sure your room isn't next to the elevator. Trust me on this one! Reception and restaurant staff excellent, room very clean with very very soft pillows and covers, location excellent, right in the centre, hotel parching near by.

Historic hotel in the heart of Graz. We stayed here two years ago and we were very disappointed to see the decay of this once majestic hotel. Bed base was literally falling apart, toiletries are non-existent just a bottle of multipurpose soap (shampoo/body wash/handwash). Hallways are grim and unkept with old carpets that reek of dust. No coffee or tea kettle in room (only offered in the “suites”) and towels are clean but thin and rough to the touch. The only positives were the friendly staff and their restaurant/bar which remains a traditional spot for locals and tourists. In a nutshell: Five Star staff with Two Star facilities. We will sadly never return.

Unpleasant experience. We paid for bigger room and we got small room with one bed (we have 2 childen, there was no way we could sleep like that). We tried to complain, and they changed rooms, but in that room we also did not have additional bed. They gave us BABY COT for 3years old child. We did not get even room that we paid, they literally stole 20$ from us. Sink in bathroom was not working, but we decided not to complain and just leave early in the morning. Breakfast was ok.
