Room was spacious and with authentic decor. Staff were welcoming and always helpful. Perfect location to explore Costa Smeralda’s beaches

Great room, good views, pool area especially. Staff were very friendly and helped us make all of our dinner reservations. Breakfast was a very good spread. Would highly recommend it!

Negatives - Wifi was poor in room 304 and pool wasn’t heated. Positives - early check in, view from room and poolside, location close to porto cervo and baja Sardinia, spacious rooms, nice breakfast

The front desk staff were wonderful. We were upgraded to a room with a large private patio. The breakfast was so delicious. We had lunch at the onsite restaurant Anna’s - outstanding. The property had lovely pool to lounge by.

Great location!

Excellent hotel in walking distance of Porto Cervo

Property is average, definitely not worth 4 stars. Restaurant was horrendous, breakfast low quality, lunch had a tuna salad, tuna must have been very old and caused stomach issues.

The hotel was lovely. Room was a bit small but lovely balcony overlooking the pool & sea . Breakfast was very nice .

Loved the fact that it’s a relatively small hotel. Staff always very friendly and helpful. The pool area was so clean & tidy and never too busy. No problems finding a lounger at any time of the day. Breakfast buffet was perfect, not too overwhelming but included everything you could want. The shower screen in the bathroom failed every time, leading to flooded bathroom every day. I noted this was mentioned in many reviews so I wonder why nothing has been done to improve it? Shame about outside drinks & snacks not being allowed in the rooms. It’s always nice to bring in an ‘inexpensive’ drink to have o. The balcony in the evening. Could still do it but just had to drink it out of a mug!!! Haha. Highly recommend hiring a car and exploring all the local beaches, ample free parking at the hotel. All round perfect stay, thank you

Friendly and comfortable

My fiancée and I stayed for 3 nights at hotel Balocco and it was the highlight of our trip to Sardinia. The complementary daily breakfast was excellent with lots of options to choose from: eggs to order, fresh cut fruit, tasty desserts, cheeses, bacon, etc. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Everyone from the front desk, wait staff, pool/towel staff, and house keeping were warm and friendly. The service overall was excellent. There is a free shuttle to the beach you can sign up for through the front desk—they were very informative. The pool is beautiful, although we didn’t spend much time there and opted to go to the beach. The room was spacious and clean. Having a comfortable king bed was a welcome reprieve from the smaller, less comfortable beds we slept on in Florence prior to our arrival. The shower also had very good water pressure making hair washing a breeze. The decor is warm and beachy adding to the ambiance of beautiful Porto Cervo. Our favorite feature of this hotel was our gracious feline host, little Balocco. We loved being greeted by her every morning. Overall, I can’t wait to come back here! Hotel Balocco is 10/10 and I will be recommending it to anyone heading to Italy.
