The reviews were spot-on. We throughly enjoyed our stay as it was convenient to restaurants, bars, shopping, local landmarks and of course the beach! The staff couldn’t have been nicer! And the breakfasts were outstanding! Super nice pool too! You’ll be glad you picked this place!

Beautiful, clean hotel with nice service, and a nice pool, close to the beach. Only negatives were that double beds consisted of two single beds next to each other and that the hot tub wasn’t working.

Loved everything except for searching for parking spots although that's not your fault. The staff was magnificent, especially the girls at the buffet and restaurant.

Beautiful large room, very clean, really good breakfast with large variety of food on offer, nice pool, close to beach. Close to shops and some lovely restaurants. About 20 min stroll into old town. Close to turtle beaches. In the large room there was both overhead and hand showers and a jacuzzi bath. Lovely friendly and welcoming staff. Just fabulous. Would definitely stay there again.

Modern and sparkling clean. The included breakfast is outstanding for variety of dishes and quality. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially the night concierge. We had a car and there's no parking, but we had no difficulty finding a place on the nearby streets.

Great hotel, friendly service, very clean with very good choices for breakfast Hotel was very close to beach, but be aware that beach is not that swimmable due to rough water and windy weather conditions The hotel is located just 10 minutes walk from downtown, shops and restaurants We, as a family of five, had great time and definitely would come back

The location is great, you can walk to the beach, restaurants and bars. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice but could be warmer. I would definitely stay here again.

The Melrose Hotel was extremely clean and we felt very safe during these Covid times. The breakfasts were superb with a huge selection to suit everyone. The rooms were spotless and the swimming pool was fabulous with plenty of sun beds and very reasonably priced drinks and food. Finally, the most impressive aspect of our stay was the amazing staff, they were friendly, informative and efficient, a huge asset to the hotel. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

The photos didn’t do the hotel justice. What can I say it was out of this world, A very luxurious hotel at a fantastic price, The staff were very friendly felt like you had known them all your life. The cleanliness , the food and service were unbelievable. I was sad to leave.

Terrific Hotel. We only booked the essentials suit and it was very spacious for 2. Nice size tv, big balcony, great bed and large bathroom. The pool was fantastic and all staff very nice and helpful. Definitely would book again if visiting Rethymno.

Actually looks better in real than on pictures. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good location only 5 min walk to the beach, 3 min walk to the supermarket and 20 min walk to the old town which is full of shops, restaurants and bars. Been travelling around Greece for a while now I visited places like Cyprus, Corfu, Kefalonia, Zakhyntos, Halkidiki and Melrose is our top 3 hotel 👍👍👍
