I couldn't rate this hotel high enough! Even from before we landed, I received an email from the hotel letting me know if I had any questions which was well received given there were going to be train strikes when we landed. They suggested a bus transfer which was actually much more convenient as it stopped at the top of the street! Hotel is week placed in a quiet area but literally 5 mins from beautiful eateries and shops. Staff were fantastic, nothing was ever too much bother. There were facilities for holding your luggage and free tea and coffee in the very clean and pleasant reception. I have already recommended this hotel to others and will definitely be starting here if we come back.

Helpful staff. Lovely Lobby and little extras such as tea coffee and little cookies not expected for this price. Hotel on a beautiful quiet street. Great location. Rooms were small but well appointed and very clean. We stayed in a basement room for two and very comfortable. Great value

Staff was friendly, and offered accommodating luggage storage. Room was a bit weird, had a light switch right behind my pillow on the bed so if I moved wrong I'd turn the lights on while trying to go to sleep. Nice location though, esp if you are going for the museums.

Staff were all 10/10, especially Ale who moved my room to a lower floor due to mobility issue. Unfortunately lift was broken entire time we were there so still had to climb 4 flights of very steep stairs and come down again. The bed sagged in the middle due to being 2 singles pushed together but mattresses not equal height. Had backache after 1st night but by pushing everything tightly together and tightly fitting the sheet it was a bit better. No powerpoints by the beds, rooms very clean but overall needs repainting, and new carpets as stains on walls, also grouting dirty and chipped in shower. It was quite expensive for what it was. I also think that staying here in hot weather especially on 2nd or 3rd floors wouldn't be great, as although rooms have a fan, they are opposite wall from bed so not that effective. So if you are looking for great staff and a budget hotel and don't mind climbing loads of steep stairs it is a good choice. As much as I liked the staff, I wouldn't stay here again.

The Hotel is more like a very nice hostel, and not a hotel. It is really nicely appointed for a hostel, but we definitely did not expect this level for the price we paid (over 2,200 Euros for 5 nights), which is relatively speaking pretty expensive for what we actually received. The staff was always very friendly, but the beds were not queen beds - they were single beds pushed together, and when you slept on them, they would push apart. My toddlers had a hard time sleeping on them without falling in the cracks, and it was impossible for us parents to sleep next to each other because of it. Otherwise, the location really can't be beat. I think that if this hotel was priced at 200 euros per night or less it would have been worth it, but it isn't, so for us - it wasn't worth the price.

Our room had a lot of issues - The bathroom and shower had a bad smell throughout our two days stay. The floor was uneven in multiple places, causing us to trip a couple of times. Dangerous with kids! They did not tell us about the extra 67 euro "city fee" until we arrived. But the rest of the service was great. They provided complimentary coffee and helpful info about sightseeing when we asked. The location seemed safe and friendly. It was good if you want to stay near the museums, but far away from the train station.

Nice & clean hotel, easy to take tram 10m to center of Amsterdam. Attentive & very helpful staffs. The only downside is the basement room was not soundproofed, we could hear people was walking, using the bathroom very loud from upstairs hence 4 stars. Other rooms should be better. Recommended!

Cute and cosy, although we did opt for the small double so no complains about the size. Everything was laid out really well and making good use of the space. The exterior is also very pleasing to the eye as its how people in Amsterdam would live in these narrow houses lined up next to each other with different shaped roofs and vintage design. The staff were friendly. The location is slightly outside of the central area however for ease the tram system and other public transport is very easy to use, quick and efficient. There are many restaurants and shops in the area and some of the main attractions are a short walk from the hotel. We had breakfast, this was a good selection, for the small space they have they presented it really well. The free tea and coffee at any time of day is a bonus!
