Very good staff, happy to find someone speaking also English, that is not often in Brasil and we unfortunately don’t speak Portuguese.
The room was nice, very clean, maybe it is time to « refresh » it a little bit. But really pleasant to live. The common parts are in a very good shape, very clean. So, it was a nice stay

Pool was nice with a good view. Room and bed was comfortable but needed some art work. Room was very quiet. Breakfast was outstanding with many selections. Location was the best, little traffic and easy walk to the beach. I would stay here again.

Staff was great and the room was clean and tidy. The location was excellent - less than 5 min walk to the beach. Supermarket and pharmacy around the corner. Lots of restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet was also very convenient with strong coffee an lots of fresh fruit. Definitely recommend.

I wouldn't recommend having breakfast at hotel. Conveniently located. Tidy room despite furniture showing signs of age.

I liked my second stay better than my first! The sour front desk guy was not there, and reception was better. I also greatly appreciated the huge room I got, like the first time (103). As usual, great mattress, pillows and QUIET. Also really appreciated the ability to take a shower after checkout on the shower by the pool on the top floor, as I had spent the day at the beach.
One big annoyance is the lack of outlets by the bed.

I stayed in room 1003 which was a suite; very good AC, very good mattress. I slept well; excellent soundproofing. The Wi-Fi worked pretty well but not appropriate for work calls however or for video work calls as wasn’t great with uploading or downloading. The Internet dipped at night.
The location is fantastic at only a seven minute walk or so to Copa Beach. It’s a very safe area and very clean property and room.
Good breakfast options: a huge mix of sweet and savoury including incredible whole wheat mini croissants. I haven’t seen that anywhere else and they were fantastic.
The biggest complaint I have is the reception. There was particularly one man, an older gentleman, who’s just grumpy and seemed miserable to answer any questions. Also there was also a guy that was putting away luggage and he had such a sullen face. There was only one or two younger gentleman at the reception who were friendly and spoke English. But the other Brazilians were just really unfriendly people and shouldn’t be in tourism.
Also I was told via email the tiny fitness room didn’t have weights. That’s a lie. It does have hand weights but it’s so tiny only one person or maybe two can be in at one time. And you have to reserve the room!

Being Carnival this hotel was one of few available and at over $400 a night it was a bit of a disaster. This hotel probably is $70 a night any other time of the year. The Tv, deadbolt on door and elevator buttons did not work. The breakfast was awful. The coffee was bad, I am not sure how that is possible in Brazil. The bed and bedding were 2 star. No room service, no bar and no coffee machine or mini bar / snacks in room. The snack machine was broken on my floor. I have been to Rio several times in the past and during any normal occasions you can find a much better hotel for a reasonable price. If you are on a minimal budget, the benefits of this hotel: good location, it was quite, that’s about it.

Overall, my stay was satisfactory, though there were several issues with the room. The bathroom sink had a leak, and some of the light switches didn't work properly. While the room was clean and the breakfast was good, it was quite noisy in the corridor during the early morning. Additionally, some of the reception staff were not very courteous.

The hotel is great, with a comfortable bed and excellent breakfasts. The location is brilliant, between Copacabana and Ipanema.
⚠️ Never take a yellow taxi, even the hotel taxi. They will deliberately take the longest route to overcharge you.

Personalen, rent på rummet och frukosten får högsta betyg. Pool och gym drar ned betyget. Man måste byta ut de gamla liggstolarna i trä, hemska, och ta in några allroundmaskiner i gymmet.
