Its out of the way up in the mountains. It gives you every reason to relax and be at peace. A car is a must if you are planning to get out to San Sebastian and the surrounding area.

Loved this place ! Staff amazing ! Gorgeous views ! Free parking . Big rooms with wood beams on ceiling that were so rustic and cozy ! Beautiful dining area and food superb. Areas to rest and relax and enjoy the mountanous view! Highly recommend !!!!!

Beautiful setting lovely building beautiful decor, traditional but fresh, well laid out. Road to it an interesting experience on a motorcycle!

The hotel has an excellent location, just 15 minutes from Hondarribia, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The breakfast was excellent, homemade with high-quality products and fresh fruits. The room was spacious, with a great shower and all the amenities you need to feel comfortable. The staff provided very good service, attentive and friendly. However, room 101 is quite noisy as it is close to the reception. Overall, the hotel is highly recommended.

We had a great stay here. The staff, especially Itzal (hope i got that right) was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast had many options, and we also enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. The property is in a beautiful location with amazing views no matter where you look. It was 20 minutes into San Sebastien and under 10 to Oirtzun.

Love the retreat location the staff the facilities and the food

Beautiful place! Very friendly and professional staff. They couldn’t have made us feel any more comfortable. Despite being in the middle of a Pandemic, we felt safe and at ease. Rooms were very clean and spacious with beautiful views towards the Pyrenees. I highly recommend their menu.

Just perfect

The pictures look really good, only 12 rooms overlooking grass hills. However this is not a small hotel but an event venue / restaurant, which can offer it's guests extra benefits of accommodation. The hotel is very much secondary to the events / restaurant & seemed they cared very little about the hotel. Our room was above the “restaurant”, which had a very loud live singer running through a tired list of tracks finishing up on Friends theme tune & Oasis Wonderwall. This was until 12:30am in the morning!! I did speak to the front desk at 10:30pm, who told me it was going to stop at 11:30pm however did not. I saw who I thought was the owner or manager at 12:15am who told me it had stopped only for it to start up whilst I was standing next to him. His feedback was if you don't like live music after midnight, feel free to check out of the hotel, he simply did not care & pointed out to me the events / restaurant pays the bills not the hotel. Expedia even contacted him during the night, before I spoken to him but made no difference. Expedia gave me a full refund without question, as clearly this was not acceptable. They did speak the hotel on next day, however they refused to give Expedia their money back. As such is the worst hotel I have stayed in & I would not recommend it unless you are part of their event & don't want to drive home at 12:30am.

The country setting of this hotel was beautiful - lots of lush green countryside. The breakfast choices were amazing. The restaurant serves excellent quality food. Because this is a small hotel, we received very good service and attention. The hotel is in a rural setting and, therefore, is extremely quite and peaceful, but a little out of the way.

The service couldn’t have been any better, we were late for breakfast yet they waited for us so we would start the day appropriately. It would’ve been great if the A/C would’ve operated to counter the temperature that was prevalent at the time (the mid 20’s centigrade). Getting there was not the easiest, at the tail end of the trip we had to try several travel apps in order to find the one that would get us to our destination as Waze our preferred app was a bit confused. In summary if you need and want motherly care with a smile, Hotel Restaurante Usategietais the place to go to in San Sebastián.

We spent two nights here as part of a driving tour of northern Spain. The hotel is in a beautiful and peaceful location some 20 mins from San Sebastian. Locating the hotel is not that straightforward and involves driving up a bumpy single-track concrete lane with few passing places. Signage could be improved. But once there we were greeted by a warm, smiling and extremely friendly receptionist. The hotel itself is very pleasant, well appointed and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was varied with freshly fried eggs anyway you like. An ideal place to stay away from the hubbub of the city.

This hotel is set in a beautiful country side outside of the city of San Sebastian.

We had to wait for our room as it was not ready for the check-in time that we were given. The lady at reception was very helpful, although a welcome drink would have been in order under the circumstances. The room was delightful with balcony and great views. The bathroom was a good size, although I think it is time for the shower cubicle to be replaced, no bathrobes were supplied and the lovely glass basin had a large crack in it. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice for everyone. We had a delicious evening meal that was only marred by the poor attitude of the older waitress. The rest of the staff were very helpful and pleasant. It is in a lovely peaceful setting yet within easy distance of San Sebastian. It would be helpful if at the turn off to the hotel there was a signpost as it looked like a track to nowhere. Would recommend and would love to return.
