This is a great hotel for a stay in Selfoss. Easy to find beautiful location and the dining area is beautiful over looking the river. Do not expect large beds we had 2 twins that were pushed together but very comfortable. Very quiet did not hear any noise in the room.

Great stay

The location was perfect after a day of driving the Golden Circle. Fabulous breakfast!

The hotel is very centrally located with everything we needed - dining, grocery shopping - in close proximity. The breakfast buffet was lovely and copious - everything from Icelandic Skyr and oatmeal to "full English breakfast." The room was quite large and fully equipped. The blackout curtains could have been more effective.

While the hotel caters to local business meetings and tourist groups, the facilities are excellent for individuals traveling in Iceland. Staff was super friendly. Views are spectacular. Great sites are within an easy drive.

The hot tub is only open a very limited amount of hours during the day (10:00 am-8:00 pm). Quite disappointing that we couldn’t use these facilities at all after a long day of driving and then an early departure…

Hotel Selfoss is a beautiful hotel. The views of the Ulfosa River from the dining area and rooms is stunning. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. It was also nice to return from a a day of sightseeing to the hotel bar's Happy Hour!

Conveniently located in Selfoss. On check in receptionist was very friendly. When asked, she told us how to sign for complementary parking. She mentioned we could go and have a look at the spa and if we wanted to go could comeback and pay. Then I mentioned I thought one trip to the spa was included in our stay. She checked and gave us our robe and towel. Room was a reasonable size with bath/shower, toilet and sink including soap/shower gel. Lovely view of river and bridge into Selfoss. In room - Kettle with cups including tea and coffee. Fridge, safe and Tv. Spa was very relaxing, hot water bath area with relaxing lights, cold water bath, steam room sauna and places to relax. Would have been a pleasure to have more time there to relax. Breakfast good selection, hot and cold food, breads, toaster. Drinks- juices, tea coffee, water, milk. Good layout so even though it was busy it did not appear to be too crowded Very pleasant stay, would certainly recommend.

The pictures do not reflect the actual state of the rooms. They are old, poorly lit, and very dirty. We were first given a room without hot water, then transferred to another connected room where we could hear people talking next door. Finally, we switched to another room and found spiders in it. Overall, it was a very bad experience, and I’m not sure how they managed to get four stars. It seems like they’ve probably bought a lot of reviews.

The staff is very pleasant and helpful. It's located very close to shopping and a large grocery store. The hotel spa is very nice with a sauna, steam room, hot water pool, cold water dip, and relaxation room. No massages

We were put on a higher floor facing the river and it offered some best views into the town. Overall, an amazing experience

Our stay at Hotel Selfoss was comfortable and pleasant. While the hotel itself is fairly simple with no major frills, it offered everything we needed for a restful night. What really stood out was the lovely staff—everyone we interacted with was warm, friendly, and helpful, which made a big difference in our overall experience. A solid, reliable option for a short stay in the area.

The room was ok the hallways reminded me of a college dorm.

A beautiful hotel with a wonderful spa. The room was well appointed and the front desk provided an EU outlet so we were able to charge our cell phones. Would stay here again!

Nice hotel, convenient for food, market. Great staff, has restaurant/bar that seemed popular. Spa on site as well.
