The hotel staff was very friendly and responsive, and the room amenities were complete. However, the floor seemed to need repair as it made a noise. When I tried to enter the hotel, I was a bit confused because the entrance was blocked by cars and there was no security. I stayed there during the Surabaya Vaganza event, whether it was closed on purpose or not, I'm not sure. But I understand the situation because it was indeed very crowded with people coming to see Surabaya Vaganza. My room faced the street, so I could see the Surabaya Vaganza event from inside. Breakfast was varied and delicious. There is also a free swimming pool at the hotel.

When I stayed there, there was no trash can in the room, neither in the room nor in the bathroom.

I stayed at the Grand Inna Tunjungan Surabaya and overall had a pleasant experience, especially in terms of location and service. One of the hotel's key strengths is its strategic location in the heart of Surabaya, right next to Tunjungan Plaza and surrounded by a wide selection of cafes and eateries. This is certainly a major plus for guests looking to enjoy the city center with easy access. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and guests even received a welcome drink upon check-in, a small but pleasant touch. The room rates were also reasonable considering the location and amenities. The rooms were quite spacious, equipped with soft and comfortable mattresses, and fast Wi-Fi, making them a great place to relax and work. The dining experience at this hotel was also quite satisfying. Breakfast offered a wide selection of Indonesian dishes as well as several international options, and overall, everything was delicious. I also tried some of the room service dishes, including fried rice, fish and chips, and spaghetti carbonara, and all were delicious. As for the pizza, the toppings and overall taste were quite good, although the dough felt a bit dry. In terms of price, the room service rates are still considered reasonable for a hotel of this class. However, there are several aspects that I feel require more attention. Rooms facing the main road are less soundproof, so the sound of vehicles from outside can be heard quite clearly inside the room and can disrupt sleep, especially for guests who are sensitive to noise. Furthermore, the availability of hot water is inconsistent. During my stay, hot water was only available at certain times. Even in the morning, I had to wait about five minutes for the water to heat up. In the bathroom, a curtain separating the shower and the shower curtain was not available.

The facilities were quite comfortable, but because the room had a street view, there was a bit of noise from passing vehicles 24/7, and there were also sounds like someone was making repairs (drilling) at night. Overall, the room was quite good and clean.

It's just a short walk to Tunjungan, Apsari Park, and the town square. I didn't book the room with breakfast, so I don't know what the hotel offers.

I'd booked a smoking room, but it wasn't offered because the smoking rooms were already occupied. Furthermore, check-in was still pending, even though I arrived in the afternoon.
