I enjoyed it very much staying here

Really nice hotel for the price. Spacious room with nice view. 30mins walk to Nanping St for food and shopping. Only drawback that the hotel allows smoking.it has a strong smoke smell in hallway even on a nonsmoking floor.

Stayed in a club room and it is big and spacious and the bed is comfy too. The view is breathtaking at level 40. The service at the club was top notch with a good list of drinks and food was fresh and delicious.

Great modern hotel. Spacious room w comfortable bed. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff and great service. Jessica at the reception desk went out of her way to make us feel welcome, as did the other staff members.The hotel is close to the train ststion, an additional plus if you want to travel to other Yunnan areas.

there were issues that should be fixed. the bathroom has not enough light for shaving. the desk power plug door has hinges that make it difficult to open. there is power only on one side of the bed. Noise on our final night from the water riser. there was no control to turn off the bed side lamps without turning all lights off. Happy hour was great. the people working at the hotel were wonderful but few spoke English. however, with all the new translators that was not a big issue. i think we were the only foreigners in the hotel. very nice looking place with fantastic views.

One of the best hotels in Kunming.

This hotel could be one of the best Sofitel I have had stayed. Staff were warm and helpful, Dennis at front desk even helped us packed some larger gift items we bought, breakfast was to die for, view of the city and the lake from our room at 37 floor was unforgettable, this hotel has its uniqueness, love our 4 nights’ stay, so enjoyable.

The hotel is a bite aged but well kept. Gym and pool are so well equipped, staff are very helpful, this is a well maintained Sofitel, love it. BTW, the breakfast maybe one of the best that I have ever have with any five stars hotels, the quality and selection are simply tremendous.

Good location, not too far from downtown, good view. Safe, clean room.

Services was excellent from the lobby staff to check-in to room. Only thing I'd suggest to hotel is there was a loud humming sound late into the night made it hard to sleep for some.

First off: I have called in to request my room to have flowers for my g/f. Nothing at all! Second: We had to wait 20 mins for our room to get ready 3rd: location was terrible, as no good shopping malls near our area 4th: Our room condition was not good. Please renovate it! But I have to say Sofitel restaurants, swimming pool and gym were pretty impressive. Hope next time I will have a better experience.

the service is absolutely terrible! hotel needs a lot of improvement in services ... that's way too bad for sofitel brand.

A comfortable stay, paired with helpful staff, and an excellent breakfast. Room was more than enough in terms of space and amenities and clean. Great views of the surrounding area and on main roads and therefore easy to get a taxi. I would highly recommend Sofitel Kunming.
