The single-lane vehicle entrance and exit are blocked by vehicles queuing for fuel. Even if you want to enter the hotel, you have to join the queue of vehicles queuing for fuel (the hotel is right next to the gas station). The elevator from the parking lot is not working, you still have to climb stairs to the lobby, which is not suitable for guests carrying heavy suitcases. Some of the room facilities are damaged: there are clothes hangers that have not been replaced with new ones that no longer work, the light switch is difficult to turn on once it is turned off. The breakfast menu has more heavy foods than snacks. Advice for other visitors if you want to go out, go without a private vehicle even if you bring one because it is more efficient to use an online taxi, plus the condition of vehicle entry and exit that is not regulated by security at the entrance makes the queue at the gas station hinder vehicles from entering and leaving the hotel. The advantage of the location in the city center, not far from minimarkets, restaurants such as Gacoan, Martabak Kari, there are also snack/grocery stalls, near the LRT station.

God willing, I will come again to Palembang and stay at Amari Palembang.

Overall okay, need to be improved further

On August 13, 2026, I checked in at the Amaris Hotel in Palembang at 4:20 PM. There was an activity at Griya Agung at 6:00 PM. Fajar woke up at 4:00 AM to go to the bathroom. It turned out the floor was wet all the way to the door. I wiped it with the bathroom mat, but it was still wet. In the end, I used another towel to dry the floor because I was afraid of slipping. It wasn't a pleasant experience... even though I've stayed here several times. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon...

The staff is friendly and responsive. The rooms are clean, and the food is quite good. For the price, it's worth it.

The staff was friendly and very helpful, the location was excellent, and the room cleanliness could be improved, as some areas needed repairs. Breakfast was quite varied and refilled promptly. It was a pleasant enough stay to return.

My wife wanted me to find her another hotel right after she just got there. On the way to her room, she saw lots of young people, perhaps teenagers, who gathered and smoked around. She didn’t feel safe to walk around the area. She said the ambiance was not good. Once she got into her room, she said the AC was not cool enough and the bedroom was not tidy. There was no cabinet in the bedroom for clothing. It was a horrible experience. In conclusion, this hotel needs lots of improvements if they want to stay afloat. Since I had to find a better hotel for my wife, I ended up spending more money. Next time I need to do a thorough research before making any reservations.
