I got a very cheap rate for a standard room with breakfast for two persons. The room is on the 2nd floor and spacious. It has a new TV (I guess it's an Android TV) but it has no subscription, which I think is fine. There are some local TV channels, but limited. In the afternoon, my friend asked for the menu in the restaurant, but they said the restaurant was closed at 1 PM. We got fried rice and soto and hot tea for breakfast, and they tasted good. All the staff are friendly.

I chose Niagara because it was close to my event. The hotel staff was friendly, and the building was old but clean and well-maintained. I chose a deluxe room, which was spacious. The hot water didn't work at first, but it was working the next day around 9:00. If you're on a budget, I recommend staying here. It's close to Lawang Market and has plenty of food vendors nearby.

I stayed here alone and thank God it was safe. Rather than spooky, I felt like I was a nobleman during the Dutch East Indies era living in a super large room 😂 For those who like old buildings, this is really the right place to stay because the architecture of the building is really beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room is clean, the AC is cold, the bathroom is clean, the view from the room can see Mount Arjuno, Mount Wedon, and the sunrise. The AC is cold but noisy, it's time for service. For this price, it's very okay, once again, especially for those who like old buildings. If you are looking for a modern hotel with complete modern facilities, it's not suitable. Overall, I love this hotel. Thank you to the owner, management, and all the hotel staff who have provided good service and participated in maintaining this beautiful historical and cultural heritage building.

Absolutely stunning decor. Every detail is artistic. The room is very spacious. I stayed in a deluxe room. The bathroom was spotless. My first impression upon entering the hotel was the distinct scent of fresh wood. The frames are made of the highest quality wood, making the building look grand, luxurious, and highly artistic. The location is close to Lawang Market, making it easy to access by taking the Surabaya-Malang bus and getting off at Lawang Market. Put aside any thoughts of horror, because the Niagara Hotel is truly impressive. Staying here made me feel like a descendant of old-money royalty. Hahaha

The SW3 room was great. When I first arrived and was unsure whether to choose between SW3 or SW5, the roomboy, Mr. Wildan, advised me to choose SW3 because it was more spacious. Sure enough, the room was larger, and when I was ready to pay, I was also directed to use Traveloka for a cheaper price. And indeed, I got a discount if I paid via the app. After checking in and entering the hotel, I felt a new atmosphere; the room felt nice and comfortable. I made the right choice: SW3. Besides being spacious, the room was visible from the security post, adding to the comfort. A perfect staycation. This SW room is always busy on weekends. Luckily, I checked in on a weekday and extended my stay a day later. They even gave me a bonus of fried rice in the morning. Even though I booked a room without breakfast. I even forgot to take any photos at the Niagara Hotel. So when I tried to upload photos, none of them were saved. An unforgettable spiritual experience.

This hotel is very strategically located near souvenir shops and many food stalls outside the hotel or shophouses near the market which is not far from the hotel. The hotel is located on the edge of the highway but there is an empty area of a few meters for cars to enter and exit with a portal and a small security post as a separator between the highway and the hotel building. The building looks old but is still well maintained and still looks sturdy. I think this hotel was quite a luxurious hotel in its time. Classic nuance.
