Very nice hotel. The room was well appointed, quiet and comfortable. I had the pleasure of dining outdoors near the beach and the meal I selected - Soto Ayam - was one of the best I have ever tasted.

The staff was convoluted during checkout. When we tried to enter the room, the key wouldn't work, and we had to find a member of staff to help. The wait was long. Towels weren't provided in the room, so we had to ask for them. The sink was clogged.

The best hotel I’ve stayed in, in Kupang. There are two pools and you can walk straight onto the beach and swim in the blue ocean if you want. The room is a great size with plenty of amenities and a safe, which is great. A bar sells all sorts of drinks and the breakfast is huge and full of good choices. Only a couple of criticisms: there are pool towels, but you have to track down a staff member to find one for you. They then have to go off somewhere to get it. It takes time. And there is an outside area for drinks/food just above the pool that is closest to reception and the bar. I waited 20 minutes before I even saw a person to order from. In the end, I went inside and ordered from the bar itself. Quicker. That happened two consecutive days. So they definitely need more staff around the pool and outside eating area. Many hotels now have a water filter machine on each hotel level. Sotis should do that. It may take time, but I am sure they’d be better off doing that than giving two bottles to each room.
