Our experience in Astoria Palawan was unforgettable and worth it! We had a lot of firsts. We’ve been to diff luxury hotels, but they exceeded our expectation. 1. We had a free shuttle service back and forth, from the Airport to Astoria and vice versa. You only need to book in advance via email. 2. The staff were very welcoming and all of them will greet you even when they were no longer wearing their uniform due to EOS. 3. During check-in, they made sure that all guests were entertained. They explained the entire hotel facilities. They have a map for you to be aware of everything. 4. Spacious room and larged beds; we got 2 beds which I like the most. Big CR with bathtub and inside the room, there were 3 mirrors. Also included with 3 fruits (apple,lemon & orange) for free. 5. The entire hotel is so wide and huge. We really loved the waterpark and we enjoyed it so much. 6. They also have an entertainment area and we enjoyed playing billiards with my honey. 7. During dinner since it was Saturday, they had a live band and I got the chance to sing. And what we really liked about it was the fire dancing. We didn’t expect it and we enjoyed watching them so much, plus we were the only couple who got the chance to have a video with them while they’re dancing. 8. Sumptuous breakfast buffet. For everyone to know, they’re still under renovation, so you’ll see that the beach side is still not that picturesque. For improvement: housekeeping needs to be improved, we requested for the bathrobe and slippers, but they provided us an hour before our check-out. We need to call them twice just to have our requests. No follow-up, until the next morning which was the time of our check-out, we asked them again and said that they were out of stock that’s why we were not provided with bathrobe and slippers. Of couse, we really understand that, but a follow-up is more appreciated. Last thing was during the dinner, we had the ala carte and we requested for another 1 cup of rice. It arrived after 15-20 minutes and my hubby already lost his appetite. Other staff should learn to keep their promise and when the requests are not available, then simply inform them. Overall Experience, it was a fantastic staycation!
