We liked the resort very much. It‘s a nice and clean place and staff is nice and friendly.
The reason why the resort does not receive 5 stars from us is, that everything was way too expensive. We know it is an island and that everything has to be transported from the main land. But there are islands around (e.g. Koh Mook) where you only pay a third. Also the problem is that there is no other restaurant around (except the friendly man close by who cooks dinner for you and sells fruits and water) so that you are forced to eat there. During the day you can walk to the east side (about 20 minutes walk through the jungle) where there are some restaurants. But these are expensive as well.
During the day a lot of day tourists arrive by boat. Luckely the beach is quite long, so that they can spread. A really good thing is, that the pool and sunbeds are for hotel guests only. You can also borrow a kajak. It could be a good idea to bring your own mat as there are not enough sunbeds for all hotel guests and unfortunately there are tourists who reserve there sunbeds with towels before they have breakfast.
The beach is nice. Contrary to the other reviews the sandflies did not bother us. The ants were more annoying.
You can snorkel easily from the beach to see nice fishes and corals. You can even find ‚nemo‘. :-)
On the way to the view point there is also a small beach where you can be on your own.
All in all, if you are looking for a clean and quite place, this is the right choice.
