I believe this is the perfect place to stay if you want to visit the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun (that's where we visited) and other temples in the area. Of course there are some hotels nearby but we found this as the perfect fit for us since it saved some money during the Songkran 2019. Although the room is a bit old but it serves the purpose for young couples like us who wants to explore and need a place to crash at night. We got the room having the window view at the Wat Pho and also have an mezzanine with a mattress and a pillow with another window view. Plus, you can have some local food at Thatien Market near by to have some local food there. There are also seven eleven stores near by. For those who are checking for this hotel, tower A is the building looking toward the Wat Pho and tower B is more toward to the Chao Phraya River even though I'm not sure if the view is right in front of the River. When we got in there we didn't know how to turn on the air conditioner but the receptionists are very helpful to turin it on properly (And they have electrical fans too but gladly we don't need to do that; but of course I guess you could ask to switch room if the air conditioner went down since I just realized air conditioner is the matter of life and death in thailand) But there is a small downside related to transportation when we found out that grab car isn't available near this area. It seems like the government forbid regular grab car so you might have to choose between grab bike/ grab premium/ grab taxi. But for us we use tuk tuk and grab premium since we don't quite trust taxi. With tuk tuk you can check the price from grab and try to bargain down to 1/2 or near 1/3 of the price. Hope this review could help you all find the perfect place to stay and some small tip to travel in the area and in Bangkok.
