Spotless rooms, absolutely amazing staff

The service was amazing. The food at the hotel was amazing, especially the dinner. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a private onsen in our room which was really a bonus. The public onsens were also very clean and well maintained. The 8F one had great views. The rooms were very spacious. Amenities were great. We loved everything about this hotel and would definitely come back

Wonderful ryokan experience! The room and building were great; the staff polite, helpful, and cheerful. The full-course dinners were spectacular. The bath houses were the best part- incredibly spacious, with soaps provided.

All five star. Free shuttle bus running between the train station and hotel. Breakfast included was amazing. Plate painting is something memorable. Highly recommended for those who want an authentic onsen exiting Japan.

Excellent service from the staff, very polite and cheerful.

Excellent facility and service. It is an older facility, though still clean and well maintained. Dining halls are huge and there are bar, gift shops and a pottery workshop to keep you occupied. The onsen isn't too fancy, but it is expected at this price. The dinner was much better than I had expected, huge variety and great quality. Comparable to US$200+ per person resorts. Staff was friendly and surprisingly fluent in English (even compared to Tokyo) and genuinely wanted to help you out - they drove me to the station for free when I asked them to call a taxi.

笑顔いっぱいのスタッフの皆さんでした。 夕食の部屋担当の方は、いつも笑顔で一品毎に季節や地元のお話も交えながら丁寧に説明してくださり、山形の料理を美味しくいただきました。 どれもおいしかったですが、新米は特においしかったです。 もっと早く知ってたら、シャンプーバイキングやってみたかった…

去年に引き続き、計四回目の利用となります。 今年の夕食は個室ではなく宴会場で他の方たちと一緒で頂く形でした。 しかし、アルコール類がセルフとはいえ飲み放題となり、お酒が好きな方でしたらこちらの方が良いかもしれません。 今年もゆっくりさせていただきました。
