Room was extremely clean but room was very hot, little fan in the room but wasn’t much of help. Also no cold water in the shower but overall was a good stay

Fine for one night. Beautiful big room

The staff were friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. The food and drink prices are good. The food is excellent. The only downside was there were no fans in the rooms. The windows opened, due to the heat there was no cool air.

This was an ok place to stay. No one was at reception when we arrived, so we were locked out. And we had a couple of other negative experiences with the staff. The room and breakfast were decent and it’s a nice location.

Our double Seaview room was amazing, very clean and spacious. Dinner in the Sun Lounge, and breakfast in the restaurant was very good also. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable occasion for my Mums 85th birthday. We will definately be returning in the near future.

The location is great

The room was very clean overlooking the beach and the Pier. The beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was simple but highly satisfactory. The restaurant setting was very nice.

The room was just about acceptable however the bathroom was completely unacceptable. Like a cupboard with nowhere to place personable possessions. The windows did not close properly therefore the road noise was severe.

Room was clean and staff were lovely, hotel needs a little attention

My room was at the front of the hotel with an amazing view of the sea front from 3 huge windows. A classic old English seaside hotel with a lot of character, seems to be slowly and unobtrusively getting some updates - think my room has been recently refreshed and another nearby was being decorated, but it wasn't at all disruptive or very noticeable as it went on. Had everything you need and seconds away from the sea front.

Clean and friendly place to stay no frills stay. The room was freshly decorated but no pictures and the lighting was harsh with no bedside lamps. The WiFi was poor with no internet in the room. Staff were helpful and friendly great for a visit to the theatres.

The views from the hotel were really good. The decor and rooms needed upgrading, especially the bathroom. The food was goid

Wouldn’t normally leave reviews, but the standard of the Cumberland was top level that I feel I have to. By far the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Professional too. All round 10/10.
