It takes about 30 minutes by bus from kyoto station and Kyoto 's main attractions. But it was worth it! The place was beautiful, and we got to experience authentic tatami rooms. The staffs (and owner I think) were ALL helpful, nice, and understanding. We were able to send our luggages to the hotel and the kept it organized in our room. We love our experience here. The garden was beautiful, the bathroom was bigger than average of Japan hotels, and it was very close to bus stop. So walking was not really an issue. We booked three rooms and we all have the same amazing experience. The only downside was the trip to get there and that there was no way of contacting the hotel before our stay.
