The staff were so nice! There is lots of options for the free breakfast The area is quieter than Thamel and close to Patan Durbar square. There is a nice garden outside to sit in and have breakfast There is a good restaurant next door called yalamul

Quaint, traditional Nepali architecture. The room was comfortable, but with a very low ceiling and entry ways, watch/ “mind your head”. I'm 5ft. 7 inches tall, and had 1-2 inches to spare inside the room. Very clean, modern bath with shower. Strong wi-fia ailable Excellent breakfast invailable. Drawback: congested, even dangerous walking to temple area on broken roadway, no sidewalk.

No sidewalks on streets, low ceilings in room but traditional house so part of the charm. Taxi needed to talk to hotel to find it. Staff were friendly helpful and went above and beyond as friend left his laptop & hotel staff delivered it on his motorbike !

The hotel is in Lalitpur a vicinity of Kathmandu and just 2 minutes walking from Durbar square which is a nice upcoming area with temples and surrounded by restaurants and unpaved streets full of merchants with different local garments. The hotel is a diamond in a rough! Suman is the man! He is the face of the hotel, he is the bell boy, customer service, travel guide, waiter, butler, handy man and more! Did I miss something? It's a one man show. The hotel offered full american breakfast and it was delicious. Rooms are cozy and rustic (we stayed in two due to hot water issues on the first one and were changed) Very nice decor in every room and the architecture seems to be like a buddhist temple

This place was amazing and the best place we stayed at on our trip to Nepal. The room is has a Durbar-style feel to it and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean. And the location is ideal to Patan Durbar Square (few minutes away).

My favorite thing about this property is the old style architecture. It makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. Also, while we were there, the area is surprisingly quiet. There was music from a nearby restaurant in the evening, but otherwise it was quiet.

A very quiet guesthouse with pleasant rooms and garden, a lovely oasis in busy Patan. The rooms are clean and comfortable and I was provided with both heater and electric blanket. The floors are rather cold so I would recommend slippers! Also, perhaps a consideration if you are travelling alone, when I was there off season there was no restaurant or bar. Breakfast was fine and the staff were lovely. Hot water was a bit intermittent but I think that is an issue all over Kathmandu.

We loved baby things about the Boutique Heritage Home including the charm of a family-run staff, gorgeous interiors very accurately reflecting the city’s history, multiple comfortable courtyards creating an oasis from the hustle and bustle and proximity to everything the city has to offer just outside the gates.

Tucked in a local Patan neighborhood, off the busy streets, I stayed at Boutique Heritage Home for 7 nights. This inn is quiet, comfortable and artsy. The elegant owner drinks tea in the courtyard and is happy to chat in the morning. The actual inn keeper, friendly and helpful, was around everyday. His staff keeps the rooms perfectly clean. I was visiting a family member who works in Kathmandu but I was traveling and staying alone. I felt completely safe and confident the staff would help me in anyway they could. In fact, when arriving we couldn't find it but with one phone call, a young man came out into the Main Street to find us and guide us into their courtyard. The wifi was reliable, the solar hot water was quite hot (remember, Americans, the hot faucet is on the opposite side!) and every breakfast was great: coffee or tea, fresh juice and fruit, omelets, toast, jam, peanut butter! As much or as little as you choose. And the building itself is a jewel. Traditional but with a contemporary aesthetic with local art tucked in niches in the walls, cool lighting and white comforters. Kathmandu is notorious for cold interior spaces. I was there in March and the nights were quite cool. But I had a room heater, a bed heater and a thick comforter. I was quite comfortable all around. It's just a ten minute walk to Patan Durbar Square, but I explored every inch of Patan on foot. I highly recommend Boutique Heritage Home for a lovely stay in Kathmandu.

My husband and I have mixed feelings about this guesthouse. We had 2 different rooms. Most of our stay was in the top floor room with a terrace. We were provided with a heater and an electric blanket which was lovely as it was very chilly. What made our stay really uncomfortable was that we had absolutely no hot water so we were unable to shower. We did try running the water for about 13 mins but it didn’t help. The breakfast was fabulous. The hotel is 3 mins walking to Durber Square.

Beautifully-restored Nepali architecture and rooms. Not good for tall people as the ceilings were low and the flip side of feeling immersed in Patan life is that it can be a bit noisy (bring earplugs!) Highly recommended.
