A 4 star hotel has a doorman who greets you warmly. Decu has a sullen security guard who, when we rang the bell to gain entrance, opened the door just enough to pop his head out and ask if he could help us. As if we, 2 women in our 60s, had come to rob the joint. A 4 star hotel has an elevator. Said security guard hauled each of our roller bags up 2 flights of stairs, not by the straps attached to the cases, but by slinging the fully extended metal handles over his back, damaging both our bags. A 4 star hotel has a bar and restaurant. Decu offers a Holiday Inn-style self-serve breakfast featuring 3rd rate pastries wrapped in plastic (despite an excellent pananderia just down the street), and watery cappuccinos from an off-brand machine. A 4 star hotel has AC. Our room had a loud, bulky standing fan hidden in the closet that had to be plugged in next to the sink in the room, leaving us with the choice of blocking the sink, or blocking the bathroom door. A 4 star hotel room is soundproofed. Decu's bedroom windows all face a large square air shaft, so if someone sneezes two floors up, it sounds like they're in bed with you. A 4 star hotel room has skin lotion. And soap. Let's leave it at that. Casa Decu's 4 star rating is simply fraud, as are the misleading photos of a room service tray set lovingly on a bed. We were advised to get UberEats if we needed dinner. It's a perfectly serviceable youth hostel, but pricing it like a real hotel is nonsense.

The property was great with WiFi and a 24/7 chat for anything you might need. Walking distance from a lot of great spots.

Great vibe, value and location. Would stay again! Note no AC or elevator, which wasn’t a problem for us.

Comfortable bed. Spacious. I asked for the first floor and got it. Breakfast was yummy, but it is on the rooftop with no elevator. Great and safe location. Staff was stellar.

Casa Decu has become our go-to hotel when visiting Mexico City. It has incredible charm, is very well-maintained, in a fantastic neighborhood and has a very friendly and professional staff. This is our fifth stay over the past few years and the consistency in presentation has been impressive…especially without any significant price increase as the Condesa neighborhood has become more exposed (and more expensive). We love the decor, the attention to detail and the rooftop cafe! Absolutely excellent experience all around!

Staff was excellent Great breakfast Well located No elevator not so bad but no air conditionning in a hot and humid period not idéal. Windows open to an interior court with sound of everyone one amplified Most hôtels of this class provide free daily water bottle not just 2 for the period, unless you pay!

Overall we had a great stay. We wish the complementary breakfast had more varieties and have more protein based options like boiled egg, scrabbled eggs etc. we stayed for 5 nights and we got bored of eating same breakfast after our 3rd days. Also I wish they had hand soap or bars. It was inconvenient to wash hands just with shower gels since they are not exactly the same. Otherwise we loved our stay! We will definitely book again if travel México city again.

Great location with a nice breakfast set on the terrace. Depending on location, may hear rooms above you but would certainly stay again.

Great breakfast no elevator, so a bit tiring to go up and down stairs multiple times a day no soap or toilet paper in our room, called staff and they brought one single roll of toilet paper...

Lovely Staff. Beautiful Property. Great elegant, minimal vibe. The roof top terrace and Continental breakfast were great. The other breakfast options for purchase were delicious as well. We loved our superior suite, it was the perfect size. Casa Decu has a great location near Parque México with several shops and exciting restaurants within walking distance. Looking forward to visiting again, hopefully soon.

The check-in person was bordering on being rude. It was not a good check in experience. Comments: Interesting place. Elevator is needed. We are in our 60's and hauling luggage up to the fourth floor is not in the cards. Luckily, the doorman carried them but his back won't last long doing that. He was a great guy. Install an outside elevator as they are cheap. The lighting in room 406 was very dim...all of it. Install a new lamp in both rooms for additional lighting and stop using those modern cool lightbulbs that don't put out any light. Breakfast of pastries that are wrapped in plastic not so appealing when there are millions of bakeries around. There was almond milk and lactose free milk but no regular whole milk...whose decision was that? Bad one. AND there was no gluten free options. One morning the pineapple that was on the fruit tray was so brown it was gross. Rotten. If it was my hotel I would bring a cook in and serve eggs and bacon and would not stick with the poor choices that were available. While the hotel is in a great location it is doubtful that I would stay there again due to the things mentioned

Beautiful, large rooms (we stayed in a two bedroom!) and very friendly staff. We accidentally left a baby blanket and they helped return it to us. Breakfast on the roof was gorgeous! Will definitely stay here again.
