Liked having the 4 separate rooms and a balcony with a great view

The thermal spa was quite good to relax in.

Stayed in a room with mineral spa which was great and we used it twice daily. Room was a bit tight juggling 2 suitcases. But still had room for small table and great tub chairs. Self contained kitchen was also very compact- not much bench space but adequate. Great size tv. Could hear people in next room moving around and their music playing. Excellent room service, and warm welcome from reception. Great views and seating on external balcony. Was a bit out of town but only a short drive to centre of town. There was a small supermarket and some food options a short walk ( up a step hill).

Was a great place to stay, great value, pool setting was awesome. Good friendly room service. A bbq near the room or on the main front deck facing the lake would be a nice addition.

we really enjoyed our stay there, would definitely go again. The room was spotless, comfortable bed ,great spa pool and couldn't fault the place.The viewing deck over the lake another plus.

Loved the mineral hot springs bath! Bed very comfy. Nice views from lookout deck. Walkable to downtown.

What an amazing place to stay! We had a room with a private thermal spa and garden dining - our room opened out into a cute enclosed courtyard where we ate a romantic dinner then enjoyed a luxurious spa! The spa garden was delightfully decorated with a ceiling of artificial plants, and golden tiles, and romantic lighting. Truly a treat! I should have taken more photos! Also, I loved the silver jewel themed bathroom tiles, and the vintage tea cups. Totally recommended for a unique and special getaway!

Lovely staff and great that you can use the onsite mineral pools which are fantastic. Property although very clean is quite dated. The daily servicing was a pleasant surprise.

Great hospitality

We loved our stay. The lady at the front desk was so welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the view of the sunset and the lake. The spa tub is excellent. Overall an excellent experience.

Wonderful staff and accommodating

The spa area is amazing. Our room was great except for the door you could see outside between door and door frame, There needs to be some updates,

Carol (owner)was so pleasant and helpful, room was clean kitchen adequately stocked, thermal hot tub was a nice bonus, beautiful lake view on open decking area, gorgeous sunsets, within easy walking to center of town with plenty of shoppes and food/dining whatever you desired. Big information center in town and super helpful. Throughly enjoyed our stay there so much to see and do. Will recommend it without hesitation.

We stayed in downstairs king bed room with spa tub. We booked this room noy knowing that this was the weekend of the NZ Ironman competition , however the room was very expensive and very tired. In fact this is one of the most expensive places we have stayed in NZ and definitely not the best quality. The spa tub and area around also needs updating. The laundry facility mentioned is the host doing the wash for you for a extra charge. The hotel is a 25 minute walk into town where all the restaurants are. The spa pools near reception are nice. Maybe other rooms at the hotel have been refurbished but ours was definitely overdue.

This is an older property but it is well maintained and clean. The bed was comfortable with good quality bedding.

Wow! They have 3 large warm thermal pools out the back. They were so lovely we didn't get time to use our room's private spa.
