Apartment in terrible condition. Door handles hanging off and didn't work, toilet wouldn't flush, windows didn't shut fully or lock so lots of traffic noise. Dirt on the ceiling above the shower. Was filthy, mouldy and smelly throughout and agent requested an additional £40 cleaning fee in advance. One towel that was dry and crusty.

Decent location, within walking distance to lots of attractions, dining, vintage clothing stores, etc. I'm not sure where the photo in this listing is located (?), but it isn't in Unit #2, where we stayed -- which was much shabbier than what is shown in the photo, with completely useless curtains that did nothing to block out the early morning light when trying to sleep past 5am. The BIG problem, which ruined the entire stay, came when we noticed a foul odour emanating from behind the fridge and kitchen cabinets, soon after our arrival. Upon investigation, it was clear that there was a rodent infestation issue with one or more dead mice behind the kitchen counter / fridge. The smell worsened and, depite having all of the windows open, kept me awake for most of the night as I was the one sleeping on the living room couch. It is difficult to describe how disgusting the smell was; we all stayed out of the living room / kitchen as much as possible and had to wear COVID style masks. On our last day, I began to notice an increasing number of small flies in the kitchen area, presumably coming from however many dead mice are "trapped" behind the kitchen counter. While it pains us to leave such a negative review (we are polite Canadians, after all, lol), this represents a clear health & safety violation that must be made public. We felt a duty of care to notify any future renters. We sincerely hope that the owners resolve this situation. And also please get blackout curtains!

Owner advised me there was a cleaning fee only hours before check-in that was no disclosed before. Mould in the bathroom, no door handles on most doors, hard to lock doors when leaving, photos are outdated, tiles missing and tiles cracked throughout, owner messages you alot almost to the point of harassment, beds are very uncomfortable, dust and dirt and splatter marks everywhere (very obviously it is not cleaned thoroughly if at all between stays).street noise is very loud too. Just avoid this place. I don't have anything nice to say about it

This is not a hotel. The price for the location was great! Introduced us to some new and interesting parts of London such as Brick Lane. The property needs some basic maintenance though. I had to fix the bed on arrival as the leg was broken so the bed dipped in the middle. The curtains are too short and hung off a rail for nets. The basin is loose in the bathroom (if someone leans on it, it will come off the wall soon). The bathroom door needs changing as it's glazed and people can see you whilst on the toilet. Decoration is needed throughout. We stayed on the top floor, it was a very hot weekend and the room was extremely hot, however fans were provided. The locks on the doors are loose and spin when you turn the key. If the owners spent a little on updating the decor and furniture it would make a big difference. I would however stay again, as for a family of 6 it was a great price and we just like somewhere to sleep and spend most of our time out.

Just terrible !! Only thing to say good about it it’s the location ! It’s not like the pictures it’s super small for 8 people maybe 4 and maybe ! Everything it’s broken (door handles , shower ,tv ) smells terrible I have 4 small kids and I like to say to you please don’t bring your kids there like i dit ! Dirty sheets on the fist day ( they dit bring new ones on the 1 st night) we ask for towels and never got them ! We were there 7 nights and definitely the worse 7 nights on a apartment/hotel ever!! Again location was good but that was it ! Nothing good to say after that ! Can’t believe hotels.com it’s selling this place!we travel a lot and use hotel.con all the time and this was a let down!!!! Hope they use the 40 pounds cleaning fee to really clean the flat for the next group ! And one closed on the room but full of old stuff and we can’t use that space

Overall it was disappointing because we wasn’t aware of how many stairs they have on this apartment and it was really tough for us, all ladies to drag our big luggages all the way up to the top floor which was like 5 floors up . Description for this apartment “should be very clear”and not everyone likes stairs.

Apartment was fine for large family, plenty of sheets and bedding. Decoration was poor whole appartment needs decorating and repairing, lots of bulbs out, wardrobe doors falling off. Communication was good & apartment felt clean. Great location for liverpool street, tower of london & bridge. Had previous issues when booking through hotels.com with other apartments when they cancelled but this one we had no issues.

Property advertises a outdoor terrace on the website, which clearly has been out of order for a very long time, at no point before we arrived were we advised this terrace wasn’t accessible, the main reason we booked this property was due to the terrace, also, rugs and cushions damp with a couple of slices of lime randomly on the floor, very disappointing.

As a family of 6 we struggle to find accommodation to fit us in at a reasonable cost, this was a wonderful find! So close to London, only a few minutes from Aldgate East and on the doorstep of Spitalfields it's a great place to explore the sights from. Before we arrived I got a message from the owner with really helpful and thorough info about check-in anx for during our stay. The apartment was top floor so we expected a lot of steps but once there the view was fabulous and the apartment was spacious. There's all the things you need to cook and clean, a fridge and a washing machine too. The beds were clean and comfy, even the sofa-beds. The roof terrace is not accessible and there were a few signs of wear and tear such as a missing blind and some lights were out but overall it was a very positive stay and a very conscientious owner. We would definitely stay again.

The apartment/ flat is located on 4th floor with no elevator and faces a busy street. In our four night stay we had issues with a boiler mounted on the bathroom ceiling which leaked constantly and dripped on our belongings. The light in the bathroom didn’t turn on. A bulb change by staff didn’t work as bathroom has electrical issues. So unfortunately, shaving was in the dark! The advertised deck, with city views, was not accessible - a sign was posted at its door denying entrance. We could see from window lots of cigarette butts filling up an ash tray as well as wet newspapers there. The deck was in use and littered and barely resembled its manicured pictures in the ad. Buckets, mops, a dust pan and a vacuum cleaner were placed adjacent to our room’s door blocking the entrance to the deck. Our Kitchen door was missing the lock and we barricaded it with furniture to prevent intruders. Also, washer had black mold at the rubber seal. After complaint staff removed it with chemicals. Upon arrival we noticed a filthy rug from a previous guest and a staff removed it. We took pictures and videos of all problems and will send to manager. Hard to believe that we had all these issues. Flat is definitely not as advertised. Pictures and descriptions are highly deceiving and differ from real life conditions. We were very disappointed.

This is a nice flat in the spitfield area. It was perfect for our family of 2 teens and parents for a couple nights. This flat is located on the top floor of a building WITH NARROW WINDING STAIRS. It was difficult to get our large suitcases up the stairs as there is no elevator. So beware if you are not physically fit or cannot hold your suitcase up 4 flights of narrow winding staircase. Close to shoreditch which all the bars with live music are located which would’ve been great to know in advance so we could’ve enjoyed them. Hope this helps the next family that stays here.

The location was good - only a few minutes from a tube stop. However, the apartment was in poor condition - missing window blind, broken window hinges, lightbulbs and lamps that didn’t work and poor Wi-Fi which constantly had to be rebooted and even then it didn’t work well.

Really nice property, location was also really good. Ventilation was also good when windows kept open. Had all the basic stuff present like salt, tea etc. View was also great outside window in terms of building present near house. Only difficulty was the stairs , had to climb 4 floors to reach the property and the windows doesnt give a view on road as the view was blocked

Loved the fact that it could accommodate our whole family comfortably. They provided paper towels and laundry detergent which was awesome. The reason I did not give it a better review, and the reason I will not return, is that nowhere in the listing does it say that you have to go up 3 flights of stairs to get to the flat. This is important when you have a mobility impaired person, and had I known this before booking, I would have chosen an alternative location. Also - the listing says it has free parking but that is not the case. Not only is the parking not free, it is darn near impossible to find and there are added congestion charges for the privilege of driving in London (a foreign traveler may not be aware of this so it would be nice to add it to the listing). I also did not know I was staying in an air-bnb - but that is what the paperwork inside the flat said. The patio is currently unavailable for use for "safety reasons" so we didn't have full use of the amenities.
