Nice hotel in Hofn. We are travelling the southern rim of Iceland, and Hofn was the farthest east we travelled. Staff was friendly and offered assistance. Heated floors in bathrooms were a nice touch. Overall very good experience.

Hotel Hofn, was in a peaceful and quiet town. It looks very corporate from the outside, but inside, it is warm, charming and inviting. The restaurant was busy with locals and guests. The room was large, modern and warm. The Hofn is comfortable, and the town is sweet, so it was the perfect stopover for us on our way around Ring Road. The town could be explored more and the staff were happy to assist with any questions or bookings.

The hotel was clean and staff welcoming. Our room was large, more so than anticipated, and had a clear view of the glacier! A treat to wake up to. While the bathroom had a random few strands of hair on the wall, it was clean and the floors were heated, which was lovely. Ultimately a great stay and recommended.

Just a real basic room. Something you’d get in a college dormitory. The people were very friendly and it was clean and they had a very accessible restaurant that was UNaffordably priced just like all of Iceland

Service was excellent and the food was extremely good (we had lobster feast at the restaurant and breakfast buffet) Comfortwise - the room was quite cool with no apparent way to control the temperature and the pillows were very lumpy. Also the room was clean but not immaculate therefore the four stars.

Photos weren’t representative of what the actual property looked like in my opinion, but the hotel itself was suitable for one night stay. The area around the hotel is stunning and breakfast was great. It was fine for sleeping only.

Unfortunately the pictures made this hotel look nicer than in reality. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice but the room and bathroom were quite tiny. This stay felt more like a motel than a hotel. The walls were thin and it was easy to hear neighboring rooms.

This hotel was kind of a let down for us. The staff, especially the woman working during the day was really great. The restaurant person had a chip on their shoulder. And the obvious and unfixable problem: no elevator. The woman who checked us in did offer to get someone to help carry the bags up to the third floor, but what if you don't want someone handling your bags? The other problem was the vent fan in the bathroom. Every time the wind blew (which was all night), the fan clanked. It is extremely quiet there (which is good), but that makes the fan clanking sound really stand out. Hard to get a good night's sleep. Another troubling thing: I'm not sure how this hotel passed fire code. It's basically two connecting buildings. In order to get out (based on the fire exit map in the room), you have to go all the way through the first building (our room was towards the end of the hall), down 3 flights of stairs, then through the second building to the door. It's a long way to go if the building were on fire.

No elevator to get to our third floor room. Booking info should have noted this. Rooms rather small but clean and quiet
