The owner hosted us personally, prepared us a lovely hearty breakfast and the aircon kept us snuggly warm during the storm. An excellent venue, highly recommended to all travellers.

Lovely hotel that is very reasonable for the money. The room was spotless and high quality of cleaning. Nice breakfasts. My daughter loved the pool. Owner couldn’t have been more helpful with recommendations and general help. Only 20 min or less to franscoek and was nice to try some of the amazing restaurants in Paarl.

The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were comfortable and well lit. Nice little snack bar in the room as well. Beautiful, gated in property with a pool with a lot of flowers. Staff were very friendly and charming. Would stay again for sure.

More than standard extras in the room, i.e. large bottle of cold water in the fridge, coffee/tea for more than 1 cup, ample glasses. Loved the private stoep. Excellent service, walking the extra mile with a smile.

Jolanda and her team are great and very welcoming! The rooms are nicely appointed and feature a TV that allows you to stream your favorite shows, a small fridge, coffee station, nice bathroom with all the usual goodies you need, AC in the room, comfy bed, etc. In the morning they serve a delicious cooked breakfast. The location is set between the mountains near downtown Paarl (5-10 min), about 45 min from Cape Town airport. It's quiet, and the property appears to be quite safe. The main street of the town features lots of restaurants and typical small-town shops.

I had business to attend to early the morning so the obvious overnight place was Nuwerus. Comfortable, clean, well appointed, nice breakfast (With the fire burning ) friendly hosts, enough parking and quick to the N1. Its really a pleasure to book in, book out etc and if available we try not to stay anywhere else.

The lodge is a fantastic place to stay. The host is helpful and kind, the beds are really comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, and the house dog is adorable. I would definitely stay again.

The location is semi-rural, extremely pleasant with numerous squirrels in the extensive grounds. However, one must be prepared to drive or walk for 40 minutes to encounter facilities such as bars or restaurants. TV Is via streaming, so if one is unprepared then there's no nightly entertainment. The staff were friendly and efficient; the food and service very acceptable.
