Comfortable venue and patient/gracious hosts: we arrived later than ideal, but the team were very friendly and understanding. A good place to stay in Waihi as a base to explore Waikato or to head to Bay of Plenty or the Coromandel. Would recommend.

Easily found,ample parking, and very helpful and knowledgable about the area.

Would never stay at the The Goldmine Motel again. It is not worth the money asked. The room was very cold - heater did not work and there were no electric blanket on the bed. The room smelled badly. Pillows smelled. We were woken in the morning at 0815hrs by the receptionist, who said she wanted to let us know she was taking her dogs to the vet. (Really we did not need to have this information) She could have told us how to turn on the room heater if she wanted to tell us anything.
