Great resort. Lots of options. Very clean. Good service. Had a great time.

The architectural details of the buildings along with the amenities such as pools, hammocks, swim up restaurants, shops, events, delicious all inclusive food and refreshments and proximity to the beach (right on the coastline) made alot of difference in our vaction experience. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this place. Staffs were friendly...convenient to the airport and parks and Cenotes. I would recommend arranging for transportation before hand. May wanna use the Tulum airport rsther than Cancun. I was told not to rent cars for safety reasons, so I had made previous booking with a car company to pick us up and drop us off. It was significantly higher than renting a car but since it was our first visit...I wanted to go the safer route. But next time, I will definitely rent a car since that's more convenient and I don't feel it will be a major issue. Hotel taxi service was expensive as hell which I learned the hard way. $67 for a 1 mile ride. So save that cost by renting a car. I would also recommend staying at Barcello Maya palace since it has few other sister resorts near by because this will give you access to all resorts which is Part of Barcelo and enjoy unlimited activities for you and your family. Tourists pay more for extra services so don't expect this to be cheap. I didn't mind because you are not spending money on food and drinks. The spa service is amazing. Truly 5 star experience!

Staff very friendly, restaurants are very good. But buffet is not great, always the same menu. The rooms are very far from the buffets. Not much happening around the pool, not even tv for the World Cup. Other all inclusive I stayed at have little snack bars around the property and by the pool and always cooked something next to the pool. Not the staff issue, they get five stars

Room

The room was of a very good size and clean. The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and check-in was fast.

It was fun to stay at the pool, the drinks were very good, the food was good but could improve more. The beach was very dirty has a lot of sargassum sadly so beach not available. Overall it was great to travel with family. Kids had fun with the water slides but we really wanted enjoy the beach. 😕 I think if the price is right, we would come back.

The food was not that good

Loved the properties, food was great, staff was good , with the exception receptionists. They don’t do a good job in explaining what amenities you can use, what restaurants ( buffets) are where and times. When I arrived. My room was not ready. They said between 2 and 3. Finally at 3 they said it was ready. When we arrived at the room , it was not ready. We waited till 3:40 outside the room till it was finished. Mind you it was hot and super humid and had an early flight. Also they did not say we could wait at one of the launches. Another problem was paying the federal tax that is not included in the your initial payment. We had to pay extra ( it wasn’t much about 10 dollars more because they did not calculate it right. No problem. At the checkout they tried charging us the fed tax again, good thing my husband had the confirmation. They did not had that transaction in record. I’m overall I would stay again knowing all this information. It’s a great resort with great amenities. Good was great.

Everything was as planned everything is great

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Barcelona Maya Palace All-Inclusive Resort in Mexico, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job keeping everything spotless throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the variety of dining options available; each restaurant offered a unique culinary experience, catering to different tastes, and the food was consistently delicious and fresh. The pools were pristine, and the beach was just a short stroll away, making it easy to enjoy the sun and the sea. I particularly appreciated the range of activities available, from water sports to entertainment shows in the evening, ensuring there was always something to do. Overall, my stay was nothing short of fantastic. The Barcelona Maya Palace All-Inclusive Resort is a wonderful destination for anyone looking to unwind, enjoy great food, and create lasting memories. I would highly recommend it to friends and family!

Super amazing..

If your planning to stay, planning on spending at least $400 on way (USD) each time you get in a taxi here. I would recommend prebook everything and confirm they provide transportation. Iwas there 8days and the beach was not usable due to excessive amount of kelp.

We stayed at this hotel for the first time and had a wonderful experience! The hotel was very clean, the pools were beautiful, and the buffet offered plenty of great options. My boys, ages 6 and 9, loved the kids’ pool area and spent hours having fun there. What really stood out to our family was the exceptional service. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, especially the staff at the buffet, restaurants, front desk, and housekeeping. We also loved having access to the other Barceló properties. We stayed for a week and never got bored. It was a fantastic family vacation, and we would happily return.

good for family

Excellent resort have been coming here for years. Staff is amazing and very professional. They made the stay extra special.

I want to start off by saying that we really enjoyed staying at the Maya Palace. We have been going for the past 3 tears staying at their different hotels and by far the Maya Palace is our favorite. However, we were very disappointed with not being able to get a fresh coconut! If you have them in the resort, why not offer them to the guests even if it is a surcharge? Being surrounded by palms and coconuts and not being able to enjoy a fresh coconut by the beach is truly annoying. Also, the breakfast buffet could use some more variety. I do recommend staying here- it is worth it.

Beautiful place to stay! Really loved the pool and was family friendly. The only thing was I wished they had a specific map of where everything was.
