The best hotel in Surabaya, strategically located in the city center, very friendly and good staff service. Nice, comfortable, clean rooms, and what I like most here is the food is flawless, all the menu is delicious 😍. Next time I go to Surabaya, I will stay again at Hotel 88 Embong Malang Surabaya, always success 🥰

Stayed overnight for a wedding at another hotel nearby. Hotel 88 is close to the station, and the TP is also close. It's a one-way street, with Hotel 88 at the end, so if you're taking public transportation, you'll have to make a detour. The room was clean enough, though the sheets had some stubborn stains, but the staff immediately replaced them that night.

The hotel staff was friendly. Once a room became available, even though it wasn't check-in time, we were welcomed in. However, the room we were told was empty and hadn't been cleaned yet, so we were moved to another room (a free upgrade). The air conditioning in the new room was leaking that morning.

The staff is friendly, but the room conditions are not as expected.

My second night here, the staff were all friendly and kind. The location is great, but the breakfast was awful. They even served uneatable bean sprouts, the potatoes were hard, and the fried rice was watery and almost rancid. The other food was also of the same poor quality. Hopefully, things will improve and become even better in the future. ☺

Some parts of the room were dusty. The glass was dirty. The towels smelled musty.

I thought all 88 Hotels would be equally top-notch, but it turns out the 88 in Kedungdoro is still top-notch. The initial check-in wait was incredibly long, and when the smart key was distributed, I was given the last one (even though I was the first one waiting out of 3 other hotel guests). Even then, the other 2 people were given their smart keys by the FO coming to the waiting guest's seating area, but I was told to get my smart key myself from the FO while waiting for my name to be called. (Why the difference?). Next, I went in and out of the hotel and my eyes were very uncomfortable seeing young women who came to the hotel area wearing very revealing and very skimpy clothes (88 isn't a short stay hotel, right?). 88 in Embong Malang should be better than 88 in Kedungdoro because of its very strategic location, but I honestly felt more comfortable with 88 in Kedungdoro. Food is meh, unappetizing. The room has no soundproofing at all.

Room is nice but walls are very thin. Everyone who plugs in a charger and laughs loudly can be heard in the rooms beside.

Awesome. Our 5-day, 4-night stay was very enjoyable. Everything was covered, but the breakfast menu needs improvement to avoid monotony. We were a bit bored with the menu. Highly recommended, conveniently located. Very nice and affordable. Security was very helpful. Thank you everyone, and we'll be back again.
