I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, booking a Mandarin Suite with View on Traveloka for one night. My expectations were high because Mandarin Oriental is known as a luxury hotel brand.
However, the room I was given was an Urban Suite, not a Mandarin Suite with View, as I had imagined from the Traveloka description. I felt misled, especially on a booking platform like Traveloka.
Furthermore, I was unable to secure a complimentary room deal from Mandarin Oriental regarding this disappointment. Therefore, I feel the value and service I expected from Mandarin Oriental did not meet my expectations.
My suggestion is that the hotel should:
1. Be more transparent in displaying room types on all online platforms.
2. Provide the best service to maintain the Mandarin Oriental brand standards.
I am very disappointed because this experience fell far short of my expectations. I am very disappointed.
