We read the reviews before we came and saw customers had said that the hotel was in need of renovation. We weren't worried about that... until we got there. The electric connections were poor at best. The kettle was in the cupboard, with no electrical connection, the best socket was in the bathroom. There was a bank of sockets under the main dressing table, some of which didn't work. No bath gel in the dispenser, only shampoo (Room 209). Bed was clean, but extremely firm, as were the pillows. Pool was ok, a lot of leaves in the pool, but I understand this is an ongoing issue with a pool surrounded by trees. Pool was ok. The general reception area is just drab. Worse was the breakfast area, which didn't look like it had had a deep clean for a number of years. Don't look upward. Breakfast was ok at best. There was little indication what was even available. We spent 2 nights here, it was only as we overheard other guests asking for yoghurt and bacon at breakfast that we were aware it was available. The staff were all lovely. It feels to me like you are relying on people who have visited this hotel for a number of years and will return whatever. We stayed in Sanur for a further 2 night. Location is fantastic, owners have been lazy in our opinion.
