I was very disappointed with MGH because we got an uninhabitable room.
We booked a Deluxe Sea View room.
We had a problematic room from the moment we arrived. The first room initially had a power outage several times. Eventually, the power came back on, but the AC was still having problems. It turned out there was a short circuit in the AC unit when we arrived.
My husband went back and forth to the front desk to ask for clarification on which room we were staying in. Finally, a technician arrived, but instead of moving us, we were told how long we would have to wait to get ready. Perhaps because the technician couldn't confirm how long the work would take, we were eventually moved. The amenities were slightly different: the first room had a long sofa, but the second room didn't have one, and the room was slightly smaller.
Then we got ready, and it turned out the second room also had a water problem. The shower didn't flow as fast as it should have, but the jet pump was faster, and the AC wasn't cooling even though it was cloudy outside.
That night, when we returned, the toilet in the second bathroom was problematic. The flush wasn't working. So the technician came to fix it at 10 PM. Since it wasn't finished by 11 PM and we were about to rest, we asked for clarification on how long we would have to wait, as the technician couldn't confirm how long. After some debate, they finally gave us clarity: if the problem persisted, it would be moved. And indeed, the problem persisted until this morning, as the water tank wasn't full or there was a leak.
We also had a bad experience before checking in. As we were about to enter, we were stopped and confronted, as if obstructed, and rudely intimidated with a "Where are you going?" we answered "want to go upstairs" "there's a room", he replied "oh there's a room upstairs I thought jeki would go straight in" and after that without apologizing
And also found people "gossiping" at the reception in a sullen tone about us complaining several times
Our complaint should be used as input for the hotel, not as gossip
