The Good: The outdoor amenities were fantastic—great pool, well-maintained tennis courts, and plenty of pet-friendly spaces, which made it a great spot for travelers with pets. The halfdeck bar bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming, making the experience much more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet had a good variety, and the food was fresh and well-prepared. The Not-So-Good: If you’re looking for a peaceful stay, avoid Room 201 at all costs! It's right next to the bar, which has live music blasting until 2 AM—definitely not ideal for rest. The room itself was disappointing—dim lighting and a carpet with noticeable stains, which made it feel less clean and inviting. The bartender at the Quarterdeck Lounge bar was quite rude, which was a sharp contrast to the great service at the halfdeck bar. At breakfast, be prepared for omelet station chaos—if you don’t tip the chef upfront, expect people to cut in front of you without consequence. Overall, the resort has great potential, but a few key service and maintenance issues impacted my stay. Would I return? Possibly, but definitely not in Room 201!

Hotel was very clean and employees were the sweetest and kindest ever

It was a good stay. Not many people in the pools since it was around 60 degrees. Lots of non-texans around. The staff were amazing as always.

We had an amazing time on our honeymoon here. The hotel was great everything was clean, amazing entertainment, amenities were good including the restaurant. The thing that sucked was the pool temperature was absolutely freezing. Everyone by the pool was over crowded in the hot tubs. Kids were jumping in and out and the pool was empty our whole trip.

This was my third stay. Sooo that should tell you it was a five star stay. I will continue to return every chance I get.

Loved, staff was super friendly, room was clean, close access to walk the beach.

The room was ok but smelled musty. The walkways were flooded from the rain due to drainage. The view to the Gulf was great.

We had bugs in our room, the staff was very rude and short with us, they were not ver accommodating, and we just very unhelpful. Everything was closed up and we wefent able to do hardly anything. The restaurant staff made us feel like an inconvenience. If i ever go back to SPI, i wont be staying there.

Nice place, quick walk to the beach

They claim non smoking rooms but as soon as the balcony door is opened they have two chairs with a table with ash tray. The two adjoining balcony rooms had smokers with the ocean view and winds blowing caustic cigarette smoke into our room, very putrid! Also all around the outdoor area were cigarette smokers. Not a pleasant stay

Great older beach resort. Property is in good condition and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We had nice stay. They have an outdoor pool with hot tub on the sides. We loved our time here on our condo style rooms with kitchenette.

You can hear the people in the adjoining rooms.
